Chapter 11: Magic Hierarchy
Magic hierarchy is a magic cultivation system to determine the ranking of each magic user in the world. There are 6 Stages in the magic hierarchy in this lower realm. Apprentice, Magus, Arch Mage, Grand Mage, Lord Mage, and lastly the strongest in this lower realm is Heavenly Mage Stage.
"That means if I absorb this heart flame I will jump straight to Arch-Mage?" said Shinichi with a shocked look on his face
"Yes. Though, if it is other people tried to absorb my heart flame, there is a chance that their bodies will explode. It is only possible for you because of your physique" Said the phoenix
"Excuse me, senior. what is my physique I've been hearing It for a while now" asked Shinichi
"Your physique is one- "
the phoenix was about to tell Shinichi but her body suddenly became transparent and started to disappear.
"Senior!" Shinichi shouted with a worried expression on his face.
"It looks like the time is up." said the phoenix with a voice of gentleness
"Senior" Shinichi started to shed a tear
"Don't cry. You're a good person. Shedding tears to an old lady like me" said the phoenix.
Suddenly, her body started to change and transform into a human form with a heavenly beauty that looks untainted by the dirt of this world. She started to walk and stop in front of Shinichi as she put her right pale-like jewel hand to his left cheeks.
"But we just met and you already gave me lots of things that I won't be able to repay you. why do you have to die now?" said Shinichi as he started to tear up
In this world, there are only one who he treated as his father figure but he has to pass away because of this so-called unknown disease, and now as he was feeling the closeness of the phoenix-like a mother for him she also has to die because of the powerlessness in the world.
"Child. there is a time when life must come to an end. There are times to cry and feel heartbroken. Losing someone you care about is certainly calling for both. I hope you and your companion in your journey will find strength and faith to push through the difficult moments that you're going to face." Said the phoenix as she looked at Shinichi like her own son
"My name is Emily; my child will be as beautiful as me or maybe more because she also has the blood of that man. I know that throughout your journey you will develop a romantic feeling with each other. so just think of me as your mother-in-law." Said Emily with a teasing smile on her face
Shinichi didn't say anything and just cry silently. They just met but the feeling he felt to this woman in front of him is like his long-lost mother. Emily dropped her hand as she turned around and looked at the egg with a motherly gentle look.
"I will be watching over you every day to see what new and exciting things you will accomplish, regardless of what you pursue over your lifetime. Do your best to support Shinichi-kun," Emily said with a gentle smile to her child before she looked next Shinichi
"I will be leaving now. Please take good care of her. Goodbye!" said Emily as her body faded away.
Shinichi wipe away his tears and cupped up his hands as he bowed.
"Senior, Thank you so much for everything. I will take good care of your child and make her happy." Said Shinichi with a sad look on his face.
Emily smiled charmingly as her body became a particle of light and disappeared. Shinichi just stared blankly as one of the closest people in his life is gone again. He heaved a heavy sigh and then walked to the egg as a cracking sound was heard, both Esri and Reina have a heavy tear in their eyes they felt moved by the scene they had just witnessed and also sadness for their husband. as they wipe their tears, they looked at the hatching egg. Soon the shell of the egg was turned to pieces as they finally saw what was inside.
A little creature stood in front of Shinichi on its two legs. This creature looked majestic as the flame surrounding its body is blazing in flames. Its eyes were color red like a flaming ruby and on its forehead was a Sun symbol. After some time the blazing flame in its body vanished and left a crimson feather and a golden tail.
"Its crimson feathers are the same as her mother but its tail color is different," Shinichi said as he smiled gently as he looks at the phoenix in front of him
The phoenix then flies to Shinichi's head as it waves its wings happily. The two girls looked at the cute phoenix at the top of Shinichi's head.
"Hi there, from now on you are now part of my family. Welcome to our family." Said Shinichi
As it looks like it understands what Shinichi said, the little phoenix looked even more energetic and happy as it started to chirp like a melody.
"Welcome to the family. Shin-kun name her first." Said Reina.
"Oh right, your name will be Elly the same sound like her mother," said Shinichi
The phoenix suddenly fly high in the sky and circled them 3 times as it looks really happy.
"Elly huh with this, our little memory with Mrs. Emily will be remembered always, nice name Shin-chan." Said Esri.
The tree of them then hugged each other as they watch Elly flying happily.
"Reina, Esri I will absorb the heart flame now. I don't know how many days or weeks it will take till I fully absorb it." Said Shinichi to his two beautiful wives.
"Alright, I will tell my unit that I won't be able to return in a week." Said Esri.
"Are you going to return now?" asked Reina to Esri
"No silly, I will contact them through this." Said Esri as she showed a pendant.
"This pendant has communication magic installed in it. I can contact them anywhere in a long distance." Said Esri as she boasts her pendant.
"Oh! There are phones here too but in a pendant form." Shinichi exclaimed.
"What is a phone?" asked Esri
"Ahem… it was nothing. Alright, I will start to absorb this now." Said Shinichi
"Alright, Good luck husband." Said By Reina.
"Hmm." Shinichi nodded
He kissed Reina and Esri first on their lips before he sat down in a lotus position and was ready to absorb the flaming heart in front of him. As he starts to absorb the heart flame slowly, Elly suddenly went to Shinichi's head and closed its eyes like it was sleeping in her mother's embrace but Shinichi ignored it and resume absorbing the heart flame.
