The audience were flabbergasted to see the scene unfold before them and one of the favorites to win the championship was going through a transformation.
As only the purest of those who had veela blood in them could rarely awaken themselves to their fire-elemental nature, this phenomenon was so rare that it was almost impossible to see or hear about.
The few knowledgeable knew that this was a golden opportunity, if they could take her blood while she was in the transition to awaken, they will get the purest veela blood imbued by the pyro-elemental magic.
Thomas knew that there will be lot of opportunists trying to take advantage, he did not want to see that happen as he had promised to watch over her.
Thomas started carving burning runes in the air and slammed it on the ground.
WARRIORS WHO SLUMBER IN THE EARTH, AWAKEN!
YOUR LORD CALLS UPON YOUR BLADES, TO CARRY THE OATHS YOU SWORE UNDER HIS FLAG!
RISE FROM YOUR ASHES AND SERVE YOUR LORD!
Thomas' actions stopped the audience in their tracks and a few old wizards sitting with Albus felt their souls tremble and jaws drop to see a young brat casting a lost spell.
Fleur's father, the French Minister of Magic, Monsieur Delacour who was about to rush in to protect his daughter, stood in his tracks to see the boy casting a lost spell way beyond what he should be capable of.
He thundered, "What the fuck have you taught him Albus?"
The other old men shared his thoughts, a boy his age should be learning his first charms and yet the boy in front of them was effortlessly casting runic barriers and lost spells.
The ground quaked and ten figures rose from the earth, the metal armors with glowing eyes unsheathed their swords and marched in front of Thomas and knelt with the sword held in both hands, blades lodged in the ground.
"There shall be no parlay, no quarters spared, slaughter any that dare approach." Thomas roared.
The armor golems with shining metal armors, circled around the runic barrier and stood guard over Fleur.
Albus was sighing, he was already having a headache explaining and rationalizing Thomas' performance, but with this, the shit already hit the ceiling. All he could do was shrug his shoulders and sigh in defeat.
He knew that with this the cat has already jumped out of the bag and doing a somersault after that.
There was no covering this mess, he decided to say the truth rather than having others snooping around the ministry and taking other sensitive information with this.
"How many have you seen or known to bear the Slytherin name these last few centuries?" Albus asked.
The others in the room were no less capable than Albus, in wit, experience or magic, they all had a shocking premonition.
"Thomas is the second born son of the Hogwarts founding member, Duke Salazar Slytherin. Taught and raised by the founders themselves, he was the prodigy that Merlin himself was envious of."
"Are the remains of the Chrono-stasis runes still intact?" An old shaman asked.
"Yes, there are indeed, but what will you pay for such knowledge?"
"The spiritual Animagus transformation." The shaman said proudly.
"Deal, I and Thomas will visit Ugadou in the Christmas Holidays. But it must be you who presides over the ceremony, swearing an oath to do your very best, holding nothing back, to not harbor any harmful intent towards him."
"What harm, I already plan to marry my grand daughter to him, he should feel lucky to have my little darling."
The shaman boasted making other oldies click their tongues, they were late to think of the matter like that. But being late meant nothing, the matters of the heart are delicate concerns, they had faith in their family's girls.
The barrier vanished, revealing the glowing figure of the French Champion. Her blond hair changed into a rose red color and her eyes even more so, they took on a beautiful scarlet hue. Her facial features sharpened and made her look divine.
Her beauty could only be described as divine, nothing less. Her magical signature directly jumped from an Apprentice-Wizard to somewhere in the middle of Master-Wizard state, just a little shy from Thomas' level, who was nearing the peak of the Master-Wizard state.
She opened her eyes to see the armor golems guarding her and Thomas looking at her with an excited expression.
"Ready for round 2?" Thomas asked.
"Yes". The French beauty smiled so brightly that it enamored all of the audience.
The two again engaged in another fierce bout of exchange. The golems guarding the stage, the audience forgot everything and started cheering loudly.
The male side of audience was shouting for Fleur and the female side was cheering just as zealously for Thomas.
Albus had a gentle grandfatherly visage, he was really happy that Thomas finally found someone he could consider a peer. He had heard from Minerva that Thomas was sad, and would be all alone when Miss Tonks graduates.
He was truly happy that Thomas had found someone whom he could call a friend.
Mr. Delacour was going through an emotional rollercoaster through the whole ordeal and as much as he did not like the idea of his daughter having an affair, he could not think anyone better than the boy dueling his daughter, with a big smile plastered on his face.
Many people had trouble connecting the little tyrant with the childlike expression of happiness that was on his face.
The duel went on for about ten minutes or so when a tickling charm slipped past her defenses and misbalanced her to let her with the chained EXPELLIAMUS.
The duel ended and the audience roared, Thomas walked towards the now laughing beauty (caused by the tickling charm).
He cancelled the charm and handed her wand back to her after helping her up from the ground.
"I'm Thomas, nice to meet you. Let's be friends." Thomas said extending his hand.
She took his hand and shook it with a mesmerizing smile, "we already are."
"Let's meet for dinner tonight?" Thomas asked with a smile.
"Is the tyrant asking for a date?" She chuckled.
"Yup, so how about 7? Might as well take an evening stroll." He suggested.
"Sure, but I still need to take permission from my father."
"I'll let pops handle that. For now, let's get off the stage."
The emcee roared back in action with a sonorous.
"That dear folks, was worthy to be a final match between the finalists of the Master League Dueling Tournaments. Believe me when I say that they are well qualified to participate and even hold their chances to win in there."
"The tyrant is up to his tricky business yet again, he had no opening so he made one, a tickling charm ladies and gentlemen, could any of us think of this?"
"No, we could but who would ever think of trying that facing series of curses or hexes. Most don't dare and those who do are not often found. Ladies and gentlemen, marks the line between the common folks and the genius."
"Never a genius without a touch of insanity. But now, for the French belle, Miss Delacour, she underwent some change in her bloodline making her beauty go from angelic to divine. Any other adjective would be an insult to such beauty."
"She matched the tyrant, spell for spell, inch for inch and has shown talent and abilities that are in a league apart from the average.
A beautiful rose with sharp thorns, any who approach closely will be left to bleed, gentlemen if you have any ideas of courting her, let me remind you that her father is the French Minister of Magic and the lord of the Delacour house of Earls."
"That will be all for tonight, let's meet tomorrow to see the fate of the championship. Tomorrow, at the clash of Titans, a shaman and the other a wizard. A full contact duel, use of weapons shall be permissible."
"The battle of Titans, I say again, a fight that will go down the golden pages in the history of the IFD. The Tyrant v/s The Shaman. My blood is already boiling, see you tomorrow."
