"I just need to walk around," I insist, brushing my cousin off. "Maybe eat something."
"Yeah, no problem," He nods, still worried. "Maybe something light."
"Sounds fine." Agreeing, I started walking. We'd checked into a hotel, and I already felt much better.
The day was hot but not unbearable like I thought it should be. It was nice. Maybe what happened in the car was an anxiety attack. It happens to humans all the time. Was it so crazy that it could happen to a werewolf, even if he was an Alpha?
My circumstances were bad, and even though they were my own doing, my mental health was the cause. We don't focus on it, and I was one of many paying the price for my ignorance. That didn't change the fact I hadn't done anything to fix it. How often had my parents told me to go see a human shrink? I just wasn't brave enough.
Yet, being here was different.
