This wasn't what I'd planned on walking into, but at least now I understood why Mary was pissed. 

The Cardinal Witches. That was the equivalence of meeting the Vice President and the Joint Chiefs simultaneously. Even with the limits to my power, I felt their energy. I knew they were purposefully trying to make an impression. Honestly? It would've been intimidating if I hadn't met beings who were the equivalence of gods. So, this was more annoying than anything. 

The problem with Witch politics is I'm not up to speed. I have an idea of the hierarchy regarding how a country is split up. Still, even that's limited to the United States. I know there are sixteen High Witches who oversee a section of the country, but past that, I don't know the rules or laws. I also don't know how other nations work inside that structure or deal with each other. This was foreign to me, and it made me nervous. How did we deal with these people?
