Trevor managed to get Nefera discharged from the hospital this morning, and thanks to Cabe, we didn't have to go through the whole ambulance thing. Not that the humans knew that. They'd sent an ambulance to the hospital in Colorado Springs. However, Nefera wasn't in it, and Steven and Brandon would take care of things on the other end. They'd ensure our security was on high alert, but we had a problem. Getting out of here.

So far, we had yet to find anyone, but Cabe insisted there were Shurakai with powers in the city. He couldn't be sure if anyone else were here, but I wasn't taking the risk that Raphael or Jushion weren't close by. Honestly, I was shocked no one tried to take Nefera out of the hospital. Yet, everything had remained quiet. We'd left without being followed, and now we were in Cabe's two-bedroom house.
