Chapter 349: Out of my way!

"Nefera! Wake up!" I reach over and shake my mate hard when her body slumps, her eyes closed. "Come on, Nefretiri! We're almost there!"

Her eyes snapped open, but they quickly fluttered again. This was the fourth time she'd lost consciousness, and there was less time between awake and passing out. However, we were only five minutes from the hospital, so I needed her to hold on for a little longer. That's all she had to do, and everything would be alright. Unfortunately, her symptoms have only worsened, and I swear that knife was doing something to her.

"I left... It's in the drawer of... the pack hospital... My room." she mumbles, barely able to look at me. "Will... my dad... he..."
