Nefera wasn't retaking control from Kali. It's been hours, but my mate was still in her wolf form. I told everyone it was because she was giving Kali freedom, but that was a lie. The truth is, I don't know why Nefera isn't trying to shift. Every time I try to mind-link her, she pushes me away. 

It's been easy to make excuses to the pack leaders. I told them this was Nefera's first shift, which was true, and the pack was fascinated with her appearance. As a werewolf, Kali was unique; everyone wanted to get near her and Zaya. Brandon, Vince, and Taylor shifted to keep the pack from overcrowding her, but that was a waste of time. Nefera wasn't the kind of Luna who wanted to be behind the ropes. Instead, she came up to them so they could pet her. She even let a few of them touch Zaya.
