Chapter 30: Supper with titans

Dinner here is… interesting.

I'd thought it would be the three of us, but I was wrong. The second the food hit the table, everyone who worked for Liam came in, taking designated seats. Sarah sat me beside Maggie, leaving me across from Hector. Once Sarah sits, everyone starts piling large portions of lamb, potatoes, and an assortment of vegetables I've never seen before.

"So, is he still out there?" Maggie asks Hector between bites of potatoes, making Hector look over at me, his coppery brown hair covering one eye.

"He is, though he sent his pack back to the house." I can't help feeling guilty about that.

"He'll be alright." Sarah reaches over and pats my hand, giving me a maternal smile. "Eat."
