Chapter 111: Chapter-108( Tournament between Teams )
The week passed quickly and the tournament date had arrived.
The teams were walking towards the Arena with serious expressions, as these battles could cost them their love life... oh and a trip to an island paradise.
"Hello everyone"-said Tatenashi as she looked around with a big smile-"It's good to see so many teams for our little tournament... and from what I see, they are well prepared"
Those present had serious looks on their faces as they looked around earnestly.
"Now, one of you can take a random number to decide your opponents" - the student council president continued as she motioned for Utsuho to walk beside her with a box with a small hole in it - "Please line up so I can take your number"
"I guess I'll go first" - Laura said while the others made way for her because they knew she was dangerous.
"You shouldn't do that kind of thing, Laura-chan" - Tatenashi said with annoyance.
"The order of the factors does not affect the product"-replied the girl from Germany while she drew a number.
"Number 25" - Tatenashi said as a large screen appeared in the Arena, displaying a list. After a few seconds, Laura's name appeared at the number 25 location.

"Rin... number 46" - Tatenashi said calmly.
Rin just frowned when she heard this but quickly walked over to where his partner was.
* * * * *
"Orimura-kun... number 32" - said the student council president with a big smile.
"Ugh…" Ichika just sighed regretfully because number 31 wasn't taken yet, that could mean she could fight Cloud and Houki if she was unlucky.
* * * * *
The contestants continued to draw numbers while Ichika was terrified because the number 31 was still missing and there were only 2 teams left, one of them being Cloud and Houki.
"I see this will be fun" - Cloud said with a big smile - "Don't you think so, Houki?"
"I have to admit I'm also excited to have the opportunity to face Ichika"-Houki said calmly as she watched the penultimate couple take out her number-"So I can show the result of my training with you"
"I have to admit that you have improved even more than Ichika"-Cloud said as he looked at the girl-"That shows all the effort, sweat, blood and tears you have put into your training during this last week"
"I also had a good instructor"-Houki smiled as she looked at the boy fondly.
During this week, she had experienced many things that would have made her give up, but her blonde's words always motivated her. The week was difficult but she kept going without hesitation, she continued training even when her hands bled from swinging her sword so much, all because Cloud was by her side all the time, to the point that Charlotte was annoyed that they didn't spend much time together. as boyfriends, although in hindsight she didn't have much free time either because training with Laura was hard.
"I would say I had a good student" - smiled the blond.
"Number 29" - Tatenashi said as she watched the pair walk back to their original position.
"I guess someone has bad luck"-Cloud said as he let out a villainous laugh.
"Don't be mean to them, Cloud"-Houki snorted as she walked beside the blond to take her number although it was obvious that it was 31.
"This has to be a joke…" Ichika muttered as Cecilia shook her head in denial. She couldn't believe that her first opponent was none other than her beloved Cloud and her best friend Houki.
"I feel sorry for Orimura-kun" - said Tatenashi seeing the number 31 in the blond boy's hand - "Or at least it would be if it wasn't for one small detail"
"?" -Those present were surprised when they heard this because they did not understand what she was trying to say.
"The truth is simple... their numbers are to be able to better organize the places" - Tatenashi said calmly - "Now comes the important part... The first phase begins! Elimination!"
The screen began to glow slightly as the team names began to scroll at high speed.
"Random Battles!" Tatenashi exclaimed as she struck a cute pose and winked in amusement.
Ichika and Cecilia could only breathe a sigh of relief when they heard this because they honestly didn't want to face Cloud... at least not so soon.
"Oh, come on!" - The others exclaimed when they understood that there was a small probability that some of them were the 'lucky ones' to face the Tyrant.
"Ok, that was a bit annoying"-snorted Cloud as he looked annoyed at Tatenashi-"And here I was hoping to see how strong my first student had become"
"You are a monster!" Ichika exclaimed in terror.
"A sexy one"-Houki added as she blushed hearing what she had thought out loud.
"I know... I still remember that six-pack so ripped and those defined muscles ~" -said Tatenashi as she blushed remembering the scenes that happened in the bathroom.
The girls glared at the two girls but quickly calmed down when they noticed that the numbers and team names began to appear one after the other on the screen.
"First match... Number 31 vs number 11" - Tatenashi said with surprise - "It seems that our beloved Tyrant will be the first to show up in this tournament!"
"Ugh...can't they do a new rotation?" -said the girl from team 11 as she sighed with regret- "Orimura-kun and Alcott-san were saved from facing them..."
"I'm sorry...that's the rules they gave me"-said Tatenashi as she shook her head.
"We better give up"-said his partner while the first girl sighed with regret and nodded.

"And that's all the elimination battles!" - exclaimed Tatenashi while looking at the big screen - "120 teams available and when this first round is over, there will only be 60 teams left!"
"Etto...Tatenashi-san?" Charlotte said as she raised her hand.
"Yes Char-chan?" Tatenashi answered with a smile.
"What happens to the remaining team when there are 15 left?" - asked the girl from France curiously.
"We'll give one team a free pass" - Tatenashi said calmly - "It's probably Cloud's team..."
"Reason?" - Laura asked with a frown while the girls seemed to have the same feeling.
"Because it is very likely that he and Houki-chan will pass without problems... so we better let the other teams show their full potential and not be annihilated in such a savage and cruel way"-said Tatenashi as she looked sadly at the people that is here.
". . ." - The girls were silent because it made sense. Cloud was a monster that showed no mercy when he fought so it was better that they let him pass automatically so that the others could do something before they fell.
"Somehow I feel offended" - Cloud said with annoyance.
"Don't worry... you're just a monster" - smiled Houki.
"That doesn't make me feel good at all"-the blonde sighed as he shook his head.
"Well, that would be all for now... good luck everyone" - said Tatenashi as she left - "Right... I was forgetting... the battles will be random until there are only 15 people left... then After that, the battles will be like a normal tournament."
And that only meant one thing… that any of them could stand against the Tyrant if they were unlucky.
"Good luck to everyone... especially those who are facing Cloud-kun~" Tatenashi said as she retreated and the screen sank into the Arena.
"Ok, this is now personal" - the blonde sighed when he noticed how they were all looking at him with fear and some with excitement - "I see that there is everything in this place, even masochists..."
[Starting the first match...]
"We give up!" - a girl from team 11 shouted - "We don't want to face Cloud-sama!"
Cloud just shook his head when he saw this because he felt that this scene would repeat itself quite a bit...
"Don't worry...we'll fight soon"-Houki said as he put his hand on the shoulder of the boy he liked-"I think..."
"You know Houki? There are times when it's better not to say anything"-Cloud said as he shook his head.
He knew that the battles would not be exciting but at least they would serve to stretch his legs a bit until it was time for him to face the teams of Charlotte, Rin and Ichika.
"How are you feeling Houki?" Cloud asked calmly as he watched the other clashes.
"A little nervous, really"-Houki said as she sat next to him-"But at the same time excited to show the result of my training..."
"It's good to hear that"-nodded the blond boy as he watched as Rin and Tina's battle was about to begin-"What do you think of them?"
"Rin-san is strong... Tina-san... I'm not sure" Houki said seriously "Peri if she's a Representative, then she has to be strong... or at least talented enough to be"
"I'm curious to know what kind of IS he pilots"- Cloud agreed as he looked curiously at the girl from the United States, who seemed to feel his gaze because she looked at him and gave him a smile along with a wink.
"I see someone is interested in you" - Houki snorted with annoyance.
"Jealous?" Cloud asked with a half smile.
"A lot" - agreed Houki. She had learned that the best way to get closer to the blond was to be honest with his emotions.
"Don't worry... you're much more important to me than you think..." Cloud said in a low voice but the girl still managed to hear him, only to blush at her words-"G-Thank you..."

Referring to this volume, as I said, there is only one arc left after the tournament, which would be the Silver Gospel arc for it to end and honestly, I feel like it's getting long because I'm stupid (I'm admitting it), I've skipped a lot of interaction with other characters, concentrating most of it just on Charlotte and Houki.
The way things are and to solve this interaction thing, I think this volume will end by chapter 140/150 because I don't plan to extend myself any longer and honestly I don't think it's a bad extension, since now the volumes will be longer, since HotD's plot is much more condensed (Since its arcs were short and most of the scenes are focused on constant fights and fanservice).
