The concert is still going strong.
The mosh pit died a little, but there are still people throwing themselves into one another, elbows out, dirt on their faces. The energy hasn't stopped; if anything, it's multiplied. Arms swing in the air, fingers set up to rock out with every hard beat.
Savvy and I travel along the outside of the crowd, trying to get back to our previous spot but the mosh-pitters have taken it over. We'll have to find another area. Wiggling our way down, we pass behind the group fight and find a bit of space completely across from where we were before. And at least here we can breathe. A little.
"You good?" Savvy shouts into my ear.
I offer a thumbs-up.
She moves for my ear again. "For your first official concert, I think it's going awesome."
"Me too."
