Louisa who was seated in the back of the coach heard the loud shout of the coachman upfront. Once the horses neighed and slowed down their pacing, she instantly knew they'd reached Griffinwald.

Louisa did not want to be in that vehicle any more than she would need to. That little house had become her sobbing area after she left the Yorthend Estate just like Rochester instructed.

Louisa did not know to spare another second in that house after the atrocity she'd committed.

It was after she'd sobbed on her knees a little following Rochester's verdict, that she had looked into her room to find Thomas rising to his feet.

Her stomach churned from seeing him care so much about his face. So what if Rochester had knocked him down, didn't he deserve it?
