Just this once, she was willing to excuse his unabashed arrogance. She truly was ecstatic to see him again. And her sobs. She had missed him so strongly like they'd been decades apart or something similar. She could not help feeling that most of his predicament was her fault, and though she could not say it out loud, it did not help the clutch the feeling brought against her chest. His flanks in her grasp suddenly felt strange. Good and bad. The memories of holding him…. That was too long ago. Only now did she blame herself for the tension that existed between them up till then.
