41.02% The Heiress (Louise Agatha Morgan Ye) / Chapter 32: 32

Chapter 32: 32

She grazed the bloodstone ring on her middle finger.

Louise tried to stand up but she could not move her legs firmly.

"Sigh..." Her brows furrowed. She never tried to move again.

Last night when her emotions stabilized, she remembered some things from her childhood. Her name, her father and even someone called Whitney.

She looked at her hands. Long and slender. Her nails are short and well-trimmed.

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in." She said.

"Good Morning Miss." Lucia greeted happily.

"Good morning..." She greeted back with a smile.

Lucia noticed her change. Her demeanor changed and her gaze contain nothing but steadiness.

"You remembered something?" Lucia asked carefully.

"Yeah. Some things. Is my father Jonas Morgan?" She admitted and then asked.

"Yes. He was." Lucia said softly.

"Was?" She raised her well-defined brow.

"Yes Miss. He already passed away." Lucia said with sadness.

"What happened?" She asked. She wanted to ask directly so that she can get the answer directly. This is what is her personality like even before she went temporarily blind.

"Well, it's a long story Miss. I will tell you when you get better. It is not safe for you to know now." Lucia said. There's nothing wrong with being cautious.

"Where are we then?" She didn't press on but asked another question.

"We are in country S now. Before your father died, he sent you here to protect you from harm." Lucia said truthfully. She said that so that Louise will not hold it against Jonas why she was here.

"Okay. I want to bath." She pursed her lips while her thoughts, unreadable.

"Okay. I will help you bath." Lucia walked towards the bathroom and put water on the bath tub.  She added some aromatic oils to sooth her.

After, she helped Louise off the bed and walked towards the bathroom.

"Do you need help?" Lucia asked.

"No. I can manage. Just wait for me outside." Louise said.

"Okay then. Just call me." Lucia walked out from the bathroom.

Louise tried to walk towards the bathtub but every step was excruciating.

Large beads of sweat trickled down on her forehead.

One step. Two step.

She tried to walk but with an unsteady gait. The bathroom had been equipped with non-slip mats as to avoid slipping.

She stared at the unfamiliar face on the mirror.

It was her.

Green eyes, black hair, well defined brows, well shaped nose, supple red lips and porcelain skin.

Just like a human doll. Her features could cause a lot of chaos.

She arrived at the edge of the bathtub. She sat on the edge and felt the water with her own hands.

It was lukewarm with the scent of lavender. Her favourite.

She untied the knot on her robe and it slid down to the floor.

She then slid down inside the bathtub.

It felt so good.
