Chapter 26: 26
Augustus sat back on the swivel chair. He turned his back from the table and looked at the scenery outside.
The snow continuosly fell.
Tomorrow is Christmas Eve.
Augustus pressed her eyebrows. His head had been hurting. It was so long since he last slept soundly.
He continued to stare at the vast garden covered with snow while his thoughts elsewhere.
He remembered the first time he laid his eyes on Louise. She was like a porcelain doll. Black hair, long and curly eyelashes, pouty red lips and her porcelain white skin.
He was captivated instantly and at the same time, the bloodstone on his pocket reacted, recognizing her as its owner.
During these five years, he tried so many things so that she could wake up and see the light again but remembering what Jonas had said to him, Louise was blind.
He covertly changed all her IV drips. He did that because he found out that the IV drips she's using contained a huge amount of sleeping agents which caused her to sleep even when she was conscious.
He just hoped that she will recover her eyesight and even if she didn't he will be her eyes.
He will show this wonderful world to her then.
Augustus was pulled back from his reverie by the ringing of his phone. He fished out his phone and answered the call from the manor.
"What is it?" He asked.
"Master, Ms. Louise woke up!" Hugo exclaimed on the phone.
"I'll be there." He hastily left the office. He didn't wait for the elevator and used the emergency staircase.
He run.
Louise woke up. She really woke up.
The smile on his face could not be contained as he drove towards the manor.
On the other hand, Hugo was left hanging. His Master didn't even turned off the call and stayed connected throughout.
He was in dilemma if whether he will drop the call or not.
"Don't. Don't drop the call." Augustus voice resounded once more stopping Hugo. "I'm on my way." He said then the line became silent again.

When Augustus left, Lucia was left with Louise inside the master's bedroom.
She began to wipe Louise's body. She knew that its a matter of time before she wakes up.
A servant knocked on the door and delivered a new set of clothes for her and Louise.
She thanked the servant before closing the door.
She changed Louise into the brand new set of pajamas and checked the newly inserted drip on her right arm.
Her fingers moved first.
"Ugghh..."she grunted. Lucia stopped arranging the drip and looked at Louise's face.
"Ms. Louise, can you hear me?" Lucia asked after some time. She became agitated and hear tears threatened to fall.
Her curly eyelashes fluttered as she subtly opened her eyes.
"Water..." Her hoarse voice sounded like a sand paper.
Lucia immediately poured a cup of semi hot water for her.
She then elevated her neck and let her sip small amount of water.
Lucia cried with immense joy.
