Chapter 9: 9. Is This My Ilussion?
The three doctors had gathered in Billy's room, they were very curious about the X-ray results that Billy would show.
"So are the results out yet?" Edward asked.
Billy nodded quickly, "Yeah, and you'll be speechless when you see the results," commented.
"Show me the x-ray, please," asked Janson.
"Okay, here I will show you the results of the X-Ray examination."
Billy then took out a gray and black cliche photo showing the inside of Rossa's chest, starting from the ribs to the heart because Billy was only focused on the heart. Then he put the clichéd photo on the wall like someone who wants to make a presentation.
"So, what's the problem?" asked Janson with a confused face.
"What? Can't you see this? Here you can see the wound on his heart, even this wound is quite serious. Judging from the wound it lasts like a stab wound, it's natural that he feels sick often, I must immediately perform surgery and close the wound But I still don't understand, how did he got hurt like this in the first place, when part of it is fine?" Billy asked himself after explaining at length.
Billy did have a pretty big wound right on Rossa's left heart, that's what caused her to feel that way. Honestly, Billy can't understand how is possible that doctors in Indonesia can't see a very clear wound that can only be seen from an X-Ray examination.
Billy waited for the opinion of his friends, but their response surprised Billy. At first, Edward and Janson looked at each other with very confused facial expressions, then they repeatedly leaked X-rays and Billy's face in turn.
"What happened? why are you looking at me like that?" asked Billy.
"Wait a minute, you said that this X-ray showed that there was a wound in the patient's heart, are you serious? Or are you just joking because you are too dizzy with the patient's illness?" Janson even asked back using English.
Billy frowned, "I'm serious, very serious. Does it look like you're joking?"
"No, you have a serious face. But this X-ray of the problem doesn't show that his heart is injured. Just what I see is the X-ray in this photo is very good, there are no problems, including the heart. There were no injuries or anything like what you described earlier," explained Edward.
"That's right, I thought you were joking because there wasn't anything in this patient's heart, let alone a serious wound like you said, not even a small wound. The heart is very normal and healthy," Janson added.
Of course, Billy couldn't help but stare at the words from his two friends, once again Billy saw the X-ray he had posted on the wall, he looked at him intently, until he rubbed his eyes to make sure he didn't see wrongly, and what he saw Rosa's heart was hurt.
Billy was sure he hadn't seen anything wrong because the wound was still there anyway. He didn't understand why the two great doctors couldn't see the wounds that were visible there.
"Gays, I know that you are just teasing me, you must want to make me more confused about the patient's illness, right? When in fact you can also clearly see the wound, never mind it's time to get serious, come on gays," Billy chuckled just to lighten the mood because he thought his two friends were just teasing him because they knew the patient's background.
But Janson and Edward immediately denied it, "No, I'm not kidding," they said in unison.
"I'm serious, I didn't see any cuts or anything there," said Janson.
"Me too, the heart looks very healthy, you can certainly read the information from the X-ray, can't you? Look and read it, it is written that his heart is healthy and normal," added Edward.
Billy immediately read the X-ray under the heart image carefully, he had missed it earlier because he was too focused on the wound in the heart. Billy's eyes went wide when he read the results, it turned out that Edward and Janson were right, according to the information there Rossa's heart was normal and did not have any abnormalities. Then what is the meaning of the wound that Billy saw?
"But I didn't see it wrong either, that ... There was a pretty serious wound in that part, like a stab wound," said Billy.
"The logic is like this if the heart is indeed injured, why are the chest and ribs okay?" he asked. "Supposedly if she did have a wound to the heart, then at least there would be a stab wound on her chest or a scratch on her ribs, but this isn't there. How could that happen?" he continued.
Billy was silent, what Janson said did make sense, he didn't understand at all why only he could see the wound? Why didn't anyone else see it?
"Is this just my illusion?" Billy asked himself.
While Edward and Janson were also confused, they knew very well how Billy's ability to deal with heart problems was because they had often worked together on surgeries or so. So it's impossible for Billy to just talk nonsense, but in reality, the wound doesn't exist.
"Doctor Billy, you seem too tired and have too much on your mind. I know you have a lot of patients and now you are assigned to treat a patient with a disease that makes no sense. It may be so heavy that it makes you hallucinate, so it's best if you just get some rest," Janson suggested.
"That's right, don't be forced to work if your body and soul are tired. Just rest for a while, because doctors are ordinary people who still feel tired. Don't be too pushy, I'm sure you're very tired right now," Edward said.
"Then we'll excuse ourselves, please get some rest," Janson patted Billy on the shoulder before leaving, as did Edward. They are also concerned about Billy's condition, this is the first time Billy has been like this.
Meanwhile, Billy himself was silent and so confused that he didn't know what to say.
