Chapter 26: The Bunker
The same evening David decided to see how Himiko Toga's life is. Did it really change for the better or is fate unavoidable? In the evening James is mostly on patrol at Nighteye agency with Mirio so David could freely roam outside. David wore an oversized black cloak, a mask and left the house.
'I want to try a new type of air control move which will let me pull out the air in a person's lungs and kill him. I hope I find some idiots on my way to Toga's address.' David thought
After 10 mins David was standing on top of the building opposite Toga's. He spread his aura to sense everything inside her house.
'Her mom is in the kitchen dad is watching Tv and Himiko is in her room playing on her computer. Her room looks pretty normal. I guess she doesn't have any connection to the league of Villians.' David thought.
David started going away from the city where many underground nightclubs were located. David remembered that somewhere around this time the Trigger drug will start circulating. He wanted to get hold of a broker named Giran.
'I remember Giran was the one who recruited people for the League of Villains. Let's find and play with him a bit' David thought with an evil smile.
After a few minutes, David saw a few people going into a dark alley talking about a party. David followed them and reached an abandoned bunker. One of the guys entered a code and the doors opened. David could hear music coming from inside the bunker. He memorized the code and waited for the group to enter.
David wore sunglasses to hide the color of his eyes and adjusted the cloak so that his hair wasn't visible. After a few minutes, he came in front of the door entered the code and the door opened.
The inside of the bunker was like any other pub. There were a few booths where drugs were being dealt. But they were normal drugs so David ignored them and he found out that there were stairs going down. He started walking towards them but then heard a voice "Hey you... Only VIPs are allowed down there. Do you have your card" said a bouncer coming behind David.
"I am new here. What is this card you speak of?" David said in a deep voice.
The bouncer frowned and said " How did you know about this place if your new?"
"A friend of mine told me about it and the code as well. He left the district today so I came alone"
"Hmm... A card is what you will receive when you are a trusted supplier, broker or customer. Newbies like you have no entry there." the bouncer said and left.
'I can't use my aura to spy down there nor can I use my quirk to force my way in. Seems like I'll have to get a VIP card from someone and enter this place a few days later after the USJ incident. Now that I am already here lets see if I can find a prey with a card.' David thought.
David sat near the bar ordered something to eat while occasionally glancing towards the stairs. After 10 mins a man in a suit wearing a mask with 4 bodyguards came up the stairs while shaking hand with another man who looked like his supplier.
'Leaving after them will look suspicious. I'll leave now and wait outside. The man in the suit will probably travel by car so I'll be on the lookout on the main road. ' David thought and left the bunker.
David was waiting in the shadows outside on the main road which was the only road from where people could enter that alley. In 10 minutes a few people passed by in suits but only one guy was surrounded by 4 bodyguards. The guy in the suit looked like an American.
'Did he think coming out from a building instead of that alley would make someone miss him. His height, body language and even the number of bodyguards match. I'll have to take the card before the USJ incident. After the incident everyone will be searching for the traitor. I don't want to get caught in that shit-show.' David thought when that guy sat in a black sedan and left.
David followed the car and in the end the car stopped in front of a mansion. The guy in the suit entered the mansion while the bodyguards were busy talking to the bodyguards already stationed at the main entrance. The name on this villa was Harold Smith.
'Hmm... Lets have a chat with our dear friend Harold' David thought while searching a way to enter the villa unnoticed. After a few minutes he found a way through the terrace. After entering the villa he spread his aura and found out that Harold lives alone. There were no photos of anyone except Harold's in the entire villa.
'The guy seems self centered so he will probably puke everything just when he feels his life is threatened. Killing him would alert his supplier and even those at the bunker' David thought.
David entered Harold's room and found Harold was taking a shower. He created a small air barrier around the room so that Harold cannot call for help. After a few minutes Harold came out of the shower wearing a towel. David immediately used the water on the bathroom floor and on Harold's body to bind Harold's arms and legs and even his mouth.
"I am already bored so I'll get to the point. The room is already sealed so screaming won't help. I am not here to kill you but that doesn't mean that I can't kill you. So we will just have a Q & A and then you have to behave like this never happened. Nod if you understand?" David said while sitting on a nearby sofa.
For a few seconds Harold didn't reply so David whipped his back with a water whip. Harold tried to scream but the bindings on his mouth didn't let his voice escape. After a few seconds David lifted the whip again and instantly Harold nodded.
"The language of pain always works. Now I want you to tell me where you came from. Who and why you met, everything. But first tell me about your family." David said as he removed the bindings from his mouth.
'Using his family as leverage will be way more effective than just threatening him' David thought.
" My parents are dead and my wife lives with my son in America. She divorced me a few years ago because I had multiple affairs and even committed a few frauds back in America. The company I am here on behalf of a crime organization back in America to purchase weapons. I just came from a final meeting with the supplier who will deliver me those weapons in the next 2 hours and I will immediately leave this country. " Harold said
'Wow he really is too much of a coward. I used seismic sense on him. He was telling the truth the whole time. Illegal weapons going to a different country is none of my concern. But I can definitely use the money he will be giving his supplier. Let's get the card first.'
"So Harold where is the VIP card of the bunker. And tell me more about where and when this deal of yours is taking place."
"The ca-card is in my wallet and you can keep it. I was told to burn it after I reach home as I dont need it anymore. I have been here for a year setting up this deal and this is my final day in Japan. The deal will take place at a private air strip. I beg you please dont fail this deal. Back home my bosses will torture and kill me." Harold said.
"Wow you care about being tortured and killed but not that they will harm your ex-wife and son? And how will you pay the supplier?"
"My wife and son hate me and my wife's family has a strong backing. And my boss knows that they hate me so torturing or even kidnapping them will not work in his favor. On the other hand I have no backing but if I complete this deal successfully, I will become the right hand man of the boss."
David open's Harold's wallet and finds a golden card with VIP written in black on it. David pockets the card and looks back at Harold.
"Now you will do exactly as I tell you and this deal will go smoothly"
