Chapter 7: Ch.7: Gah Damn.
Wearily flying through his open window, his leg got caught on the frame, causing him to face plant into his wooden floor. 'I've never flown for so long. Gotta get used to that..' He got up from the floor and made his way over to the closet.
He changed out of his wet clothes and into some pajamas. 'It's 12 AM on the dot. Mom's probably too worried about me to sleep, so I might as well..' He opened the door to his room and walked out. Walking until he reached his moms room, he cracked opened her door and peeked in.
There he saw her sleeping peacefully without a care in the world. 'Or she isn't worried at all. That's mom for ya...' Just as he about to close the door, his mom had opened her eyes and rested them on his. This startled him but he was able to compose himself after his mom motioned him over.
He opened the door completely then closed it behind himself. Making his way over to her bed, he floated onto it and was soon trapped in her embrace. "Well? How was it..?" She said sheepishly while yawning. "I couldn't find them. Sorry.."
She could tell he was lying, but she didn't pry into it. "That's fine. I'm just glad your safe, ken. You know, you proved to me that you're ready for bigger things. I forgot you wasn't the average six year old. You're mature enough to know yourself and I hadn't thoroughly realized that before. I'm sorry...for doubting you.."
"Huh? Don't say sorry to me, mom. Any parent would want for their six year old child to stay out of danger. You were in the right while I was in the wrong. I let the selfish desire of wanting to play hero get to my head which encouraged my behavior. You did absolutely nothing wrong."
She was left with a somewhat satisfied smile after his warm words. 'He always manages to put a smile on my face. My job as a parent is to always keep him happy and stress free, but it feels like...it feels like he does a better job at that than me. Guess that says a lot about myself, huh..?'
Kissing his forehead, she asked if he wanted to sleep with her tonight to which he didn't reply. "Hm? Ken, what's wrong?" She held his chin up and examined his face. 'Oh,..' He had dozed off, leaving his mom to see a smile on his boyish face.
'Sleep all you want too, ken. Mommy will always be by your side..' She moved his head into her breast while hugging him tightly. And like that, she herself had fallen asleep.
In the livingroom, you could see Lily watching tv. She was cooing at the sight of a cooking show.

6 years has passed since then.
Nolan was standing in the middle of a group of kids who were lying on the floor. Some were panting while others were whipping sweat off their faces.
"I'd get that ring checked out if I were you, Hal. Or maybe it's that below creative mindset you have?" Hal had grown to be a playboy like Nolan had predicted.
In fact, he's grown so much into one that agencies have scouted him out in the past and near present. Guess that counts as the past as well.
"Shut up! Y-You're trying to embarrass me in front of my wife and it won't work!" He screamed while pointing at Diana. She ignored it however and carried on with her personal training.
"Then shut the hell up and do something about it." He said bluntly while crossing his arms. Hal spat on the ground and put his hand out. A green remote then formed followed by a green rocket appearing on his back.
"Oh, I will tough guy. I'll shut that mouth of yours up permanently!" He pressed something on the remote and the rocket flew off his back and towards Nolan. "That won't work.." Using heat vision, he then split the rocket into two.
"But this will!" He screamed and the two halves turned into missiles which flew at Nolan from both sides. 'Well, it's a change atleast. Means that he's learning..' He allowed the missiles to hit him which caused a miniature explosion.
"Ha! Take that bastard!" Hal exclaimed like he won. "Hal, you know you lost man.." Barry commented while placing ice on his head. "Shut it, 'fastest man alive'. You're already out!" Barry shrugged and pointed. Hal looked over and saw sparkling wind coming at him.
'Shi-'
Hal became the perfect ice statue. "You did try warning him. He should've listened.." Nolan sighed while patting his clothes off. "Maybe you should have went a little bit easier on him? He did have his crush watching.."
Billy said while putting a bandaid on. "Hm? Diana? Don't you all like her? If anything, I'm doing you a favor by showing her which one of you are the strongest and weakest.." They all stared at him then at each other.
"Anyways,..we're still on for that movie, right?" His words excited everyone which drew them into a huddle. "Of course! Hey, Ken, your mom is driving us, right?" They all looked at him. "What? No, she has work. Barry, just use that damm speed of yours and run us there."
They all looked at him. "B-But, what if I get caught? They'll lock me up in jail and...and.." He started hiccuping, causing the group to sigh. "I'll do it boys. I'll ask mother if she can give us-" Diana was interrupted by the continuous shaking of heads from the guys.
"Then it's settled. Hey, Bruce, you comin'?" At Oliver's question, they looked over and at him. Bruce was a quiet kid who liked to be alone. Though for some reason, he always hung around the group of kids.
"No."
He responded coldly and kept kicking in the air. "Your loss man. Your loss.." Oliver sighed while shaking his head. "Can we ever get that mans out of his shell? We've know him since we were babies and even then he'd always look away from us.."
They shrugged and huddle ended. "Let's meet back in an hour?" They agreed with Nolan and started walking in separate directions. They went to different elevators that would lead up into their houses.
Right now, they were in an underground facility that was built by their parents. They were free to do whatever down here and was to treat it like their own home. 'I've been training down here since I was 8. And since then, I've mastered my powers.
I decided to help the others do the same because why not? They're my friends and I'd do anything to help them.' He then looked at Diana who had looked away from his gaze. 'Well, almost anything. I feel like I'm cucking them since they don't know that me and her..'
He cracked his neck while shaking his head. 'Oh, well. I'll tell 'em sooner or later. I think they already suspect we have something. Well, all of them but Hal..' He then remembered he froze Hal, but shrugged it off for later.
'Theres a lesson in everything. Mine was, 'Be creative. There's always a way to defeat someone'.
Not me though. Y'all stay safe though.'
