Chapter 6: Ch.6: God On Earth?
"Was I too hard on him? All he wanted to do was help.." She laid in her bed while sighing. 'No, you did the right thing, Jen. Sending a six year old child on a dangerous mission like that is bad parenting..' She stuffed her face with a body pillow of Nolan.
'You're my bestfriend. You know that? I thank God that he gave me my own little best friend every single day. I also pray that my little angels are safe and happy everyday...' Lily and Nolan were her number one priority.
She'd betray her country first before her kids. Yes, her country. Well, her bosses country. She was only the vice president after all. 'Keeping them happy... Now that I think about it, he did seem happy when presented with the idea of saving those people.
I guess he gets that from his dad, huh?' Jennifer was quirkless herself, but with an iq of roughly 198, she was able to rise up to the top in things academic wise. She stepped on a lot of people to get to where she is and she'll do it again.
'My best bet...would be, Ken, huh? The question is,..do I have enough faith in his powers to work..?' She sat the pillow to the side of herself and got up.
'If he's still persistent, then...I'll let him. Who am I to keep someone from doing what they want? My own son and friend at that..'
She opened her door with a smile and yelled, "Ken! Come here!" Normally he'd be there in less than 5 seconds from that aggressive tone, but...he wasn't. "Ken! Ken, I know you hear me!" No response, leading her to walk out and down the hallway.
"Ken?" She arrived in the kitchen and saw that he wasn't there. The tv was on however and Lily was watching it while clapping her hands together. "Lily? Have you've seen your brother..?" She picked her up while looking around.
"no.." Lily spoke, surprising Jen. "Well, you're my child after all. It's as expected. Anyways, where the hell is your dumb ass brother? Did he go to his room to pout?" She followed her question and arrived at his room.
She didn't even knock to go in. "Ken?" She looked around his clean, yet dirty room. For a child, he had some pretty irregular posters hanging up. "Ken..?" She saw his window open, making a thought click. "No.." She hastily went up to the window and looked out.
"Ken! Nolan! Nolan Kent! I know you here me! You better not have.." She covered her mouth as tears began trickling out. 'He didn't, did he~...?' As she slumped down onto her knees and began crying and slobbering, Ken was flying through the air.
'Sorry, mom. Though, I heard those thoughts and you technically gave me permission. Also, you're my bestfriend in the whole wide world too. There isn't a person more fitting for the title..' At sound breaking speeds, he flew through the clouds and soon over the ocean.
'I think she said in the center of the Pacific, right? Imma guess...' He stopped flying and looked down. 'Here..' He slowly floated down until he stood on the surface of the water. 'I feel like, God. No offense though. Pretty sure any human would do this given the opportunity..'
He slowly began to sink into the water until he was fully submerged. 'Wow,.. Its so..' He looked around, 'Empty. There's nothing but dark blue and jelly fish...'
He picked up a passing jellyfish which stung him,..I think? 'I shouldn't waste much time. Feel like the longer I'm gone, the more pain imma receive from that ass whoopin'.'
And like that, he started exploring the Pacific ocean. There wasn't really anything cool besides sunken boats, lost treasures and the abandoned underground city. 'Oceans alright. I mean, why are we even exploring it? The fish ain't even all that, the smell isn't great and the taste is terrible..'
Going faster than mach 3, it didn't take long(3 hours) to find a sinking sub with dimmed lights. 'Ah, I'm in the trenches I'm pretty sure. The fish down here are scary...' From giant crabs that could rival a bus to shrimp that could eat people, it was all down here.
'See, like..' A giant shark came speeding at him. It bared its teeth which were filled with dead animals. 'You don't wanna die to something you've never seen before, right? That's just..' His eyes turned red followed by his beam of heat hitting the shark.
The shark split into two while beginning to float up. 'Now, I should save these people. The water pressure down here is enough to crush mountains...' He swam to the small sub and in front of it to see through the tiny window.
'Let's see..' He looked inside and saw...'Ah, so instead of dying in peace, all 7 of them decided to have one massive orgy. I know it stank like crazy up in there..' He then considered if these people were even worth saving.
'To be honest, I came for the experience. Not really to save them, so...' He backed up and watched as it continued floating down. 'Murder? Nah, they have no proof that I was even here..' His eyes started to turn red. 'Atleast, now they won't..'
A smile came to his face as his heat vision had split the sub into two, instantly killing the people as the pressure crushed their bones. Deep sea life came out the shadows and ravished at their bodies all as Nolan watched with a satisfied smile.
'That felt..' His blood started boiling. 'Like I should've toyed with them longer. Oh well, they died having sex. What better of way to go out?' He shrugged it off and flapped towards the ground, rocketing high up in the water at fast speeds.
He emerged from the water and kept going until he got above the clouds. There he watched as the sunset, set. 'Being a Hero,..its lowkey overrated. Superman is cool and all, but he was born with a hero heart. I was born with a pushover heart and guess what? I got a chance to change that.
No, I don't strive to be a hero anymore. Because that isn't the only way to earn respect in this world. Through power and my fist, I'll quite literally stop anyone who gets in my way on my path to money, female dogs, and more.

(AN: Ah, forgot to mention something. While his power is based off of superman's, I'd like to say I'll base my character probably off of homelander. Not 100 percent sure, but I'm leaning towards it.)
