Zero nodded, acknowledging the Pope's gratitude.

He was not comfortable dealing with the Pope because of his life experiences where the Pope was the main person casting and telling everyone that he was the devil and hunting him down. That Pope was a hypocrite man, using the name of god to do what he pleases.

And the Angels were also supporting such a man. That's why he has bad memories of the Pope and doesn't really want to make a good impression.
