Chapter 12: Chapter 12: Talking to the Hokage again
Naruto stared dazedly at his brand new skill, he was starting to get worried about leveling up since he didn't want to resort to mass genocide to level up, this solved his problem.
Naruto decided to see the benefits of the IDs and created an empty ID.
"Create empty ID," Naruto spoke.
Space rippled around Naruto as all the noises from outside his apartment disappeared, everything was quiet as if the world had completely stopped.
Naruto looked outside his window, the street where he would usually see people moving up and down was completely empty, there was no wind, no smells, no sounds, it really was as if this world was completely fake.
Naruto looked at the clock in his apartment when he entered it was 16:00, the clock now said 16:02.
"Escape ID." Space seemed to crack apart around Naruto as he appeared where he stood, it seemed that if you moved in the ID and then escaped that your body would appear at the place you are currently at instead of reappearing at the point of entrance.
Naruto quickly looked at the clock again, 16:02, it seemed that time passed the same way both inside and outside his ID, it was sad since he had already made plans to get in some extra training but it seemed like that wouldn't be possible.
Naruto was interrupted in his thinking by some knocks on the door, Naruto quickly checked around his apartment, it wasn't very tidy as there were books lying all over the place and weights scattered around the apartment, but Naruto knew that there could only be 3 people visiting him, Dog, the Hokage, and Guy-sensei, Guy was out on a mission so it was definitely not Guy, Dog would usually only meet him on Mondays and it was Wednesday, so by process of elimination it was the Hokage.
Naruto opened his door and he was indeed correct, the Hokage was standing in front of Naruto with a proud smile.
"Good afternoon to you Naruto."
Naruto greeted the Hokage back and motioned for the Hokage to enter his apartment.
Naruto and the Hokage walked to Naruto's living room which was filled with books.
"I'm proud of you, Naruto." The Hokage smiled proudly at Naruto, he was glad to see that Naruto had held his promise and was even surprised to see how far Naruto had gotten in just four months.
Naruto smiled just as proudly back at the Hokage "What did I tell you Hokage-Jiji, I always keep my promises."
The Hokage chuckled at Naruto.
"Well then, coming to congratulate you is not the only reason why I came to meet you, I also came to check up on your mastery of Calligraphy, while I'm not that well versed in Fuinjutsu I have enough training to be called a master so if I see that your Calligraphy skill is a high enough level I will allow you to start with your Fuinjutsu training." The Hokage explained why he was present.
They spent the next two hours together looking over Naruto's skill in Calligraphy which had become level 35,
The Hokage was surprised, the amount of skill Naruto showed was amazing it was as if he had trained for more than a year while in actuality he had only trained 4 months, the Hokage guessed that both his Uzumaki genes and his father's talent were inherited by Naruto causing him to be naturally talented at Fuinjutsu.
"You are very good for someone your age, I will allow you to start practicing Fuinjutsu, but you can only do so under my or Dog's supervision, Fuinjutsu is a very dangerous and volatile art where if you make even one wrong step you could kill or permanently injure yourself, I will give you books about Fuinjutsu which you will have to study," Hiruzen explained to Naruto.
Naruto nodded in excitement, he would finally begin his Fuinjutsu studies it was something that he had been looking forward to ever since he had started training Calligraphy, it was in his blood to study Fuinjutsu and he would make sure that he would get as good as possible at it.
The Hokage unsealed another pack of books that were titled 'The basics of Fuinjutsu' Naruto wanted to immediately start reading them but held himself back, if he couldn't do something as simple as being patient then his training would have been all for nothing.
Naruto thanked the Hokage who after chatting a bit longer with Naruto decided to leave.
Naruto sighed, the day had been tiring for him, and having his brain overloaded with Calligraphy for over 2 hours was still hard for Naruto, but his rest was once again interrupted by knocks on the door.
Naruto sighed in exhaustion and headed to open the door only to be met by a pair of pitch-black eyes.
