Abigail looked directly at Rebecca, before saying "Can I be honest?"

"Absolutely."

"Keeping this secret from me…"

"Abigail, do you remember the words I said to you in the couple of days after we first met?"

Puzzled, Abigail said "I am not sure what you are getting at."

Rebecca smiled before saying "I said to you when you told me about your early years, and the story that you told be why the Meng family came back, that I did not believe you were telling me everything, but if those secrets hurt no one I would not have an issue.  I was happy to wait until you were ready to tell me what the secret was, and when you were ready, you did.  Have I treated you differently since I have known that?"

"No.  But you are someone completely different?"

Rebecca shook her head and said "Answer me this question.  Am I the same person that met you at the door?"

"Yes, but…"

Rebecca quipped with a laugh, "Butts are made for sitting on."
