"What on this —"

"Mariana Grace Facci, don't even think about cursing, " Calliope said in a strict voice. "And back to your room, get dressed in uniform. You are not going to your high school in these clothes on the very first day."

Mari's lips parted to protest but she couldn't do it. If her mom said no, it meant no! Even her Bobo couldn't convince Mrs Facci. 

"Momsy–"

"You are too cool to call me mommy but it doesn't mean I will let you call me this creepy momsy, " Calliope said as she put the file on the table. 

Mari pouted. "Mommy, why are you heated in the morning?"

"Heated?" Calliope said in a loud voice. "Your dad is still asleep. I have been telling him for weeks that he has to get up early to drop off girls at school on the very first day but last night, he went out with your Uncles and came home drunk in the middle of the night. How can I not be heated?"
