Chapter 63: Punished

"It's my fault for being so negligent." Calliope said, looking at the shadow guards. It was impudent of her to think she didn't need these guards when she left Orin again when the truth seemed far from this.

What of these guards were not here?

What would she have done?

She dared not imagine the consequences. 

"Where are you taking me? Catch that bitch! How dare she –"

The bodyguards pressed an accumputre point that resulted in him whimpering in pain. 

"Please let him go… I don't want to create a scene. My family is not ready for a scandal." Sabrina said. She was ready to beg. No, she wasn't begging because she was pathetic enough to save him even when he was a monster, capable of hitting two women but because she couldn't afford a scandal at this time. Her reputation was already in shambles and she couldn't afford to drag her family into the mud she already was in.
