It has been a week ever since the Autobots had taken control of an Energon mine in Oregon. Optimus and the other Autobots were there to keep it safe from the Decepticons while Ratchet stayed behind to keep an eye on the base. He also was teaching Emily how to write Cybertronian even though she can read them easily that night.
"Since you're half Cybertronian. You must learn how to write Cybertronian." Ratchet told her as she has her notepad with her notes on it.
"I love learning about Cybertron history. But when it comes to learning how to write and speak Cybertronian, it turns into a real nightmare. Besides, I already learned Cybertronian." Emily said as she was writing down some sentences and trying to translate them accurately into Cybertronian language as Ratchet looked at her in confusion and surprise.
He's been teaching Raf Cybertronian and the kid was progressing slowly but how can Emily learn the language so easily then again she is half Cybertronian.
"You think you have learned? But you still need further teaching." Ratchet told her as Emily just smiled smugly at him.
"Try and argue with my notes." She said as she showed him her notes and there was the english meaning and surprisingly the Cybertronian meaning as well.
"It... looks good but I still think you need to learn more Cybertronian. Let's just stop for today. We'll keep practicing another day. Besides, I still need to work on something." Ratchet told her as he went back to his work place as Emily nodded and put her notes back in her bag.
"Okay. I'll watch some tv in the meantime." Emily said as she sat down on the couch after turning the TV on and trying to check the channels for anything good to watch.
She then stumbled upon the news channel and grew curious about what she was seeing as she turned up the volume to hear better as the report was about an accident somewhere.
"A few hours earlier, a group of street racers had taken this road for an illegal race. One of them got taken off the road and suffered a terrible crash. The driver was brought to the hospital earlier tonight. His state is critical but he will be fine. This incident is the fourth one in a series of many other car crashes incidents. Once again this proves that the authorities need to reinforce the respect of the road against those you love anarchy." The news showed the crash site and the car as Emily frowned at the sight.
"This doesn't look good." She muttered to herself before the proximity sensors started blaring as she rolled her eyes already knowing who it was.
"Great more good news." She said sarcastically as she turned to the elevator as someone was coming down in it. The doors opened and it was Agent Fowler as he greeted Ratchet.
"Good evening, doctor." Fowler greeted as Ratchet nodded his greetings while not taking his gaze off his little project.
"Agent Fowler." He greeted back as Agent Fowler noticed Emily and nodded his greetings.
"How are things going, Agent Fowler?" She asked him curiously as Fowler just shrugged but answered.
"Smoothly. The Energon mine is safe and secure. Not even the great Houdini himself could get inside." Fowler informed them as Emily just snorted a laugh at the nickname that Fowler gave for Megatron.
"Well, I just hope you keep a good eye on the Energon mine. Speaking of which, you should check this." Emily said as she showed Fowler the news about the recent car crash as Fowler watched the news.
"Oh please, I'm a special agent for the government. I don't have the time to run against pesky street racers, young lady." Agent Fowler said as Emily just smirked playfully at him
"Says the one who always calls for help whenever he's in trouble." She countered as Agent Fowler gaped at her as Ratchet overheard them and couldn't help but smirk in amusement.
"That doesn't count. Anyway I just came by to tell you that the mine is safe. So good night, everyone." Fowler said before he went back in the elevator again and left as Emily waved.
"Good night." She said just as Ratchet was done.
"Ah-ha. I'm finally done." Ratchet said as Emily looked curiously since he's been working on her caster board ever since she told them she made it herself.
"Oh really? Let me check." Emily said as she went to him before he put her caster board down as she looked at it curiously.
"I don't see anything new there." She said as she looked at him but he had that smile as he put a servo on his hip.
"Get on and you'll see." He said as she did so.
When she gets on, she starts feeling like she's coming off the ground slowly and steadily just like the old hover board that she accidentally broke beyond repair the last couple of days so she made a caster board instead.
"Whoa, whoa. I feel like I'm flying." She said in surprise and amazement as Ratchet smiled.
"Look below you." He pointed as she looked at him in confusion.
Emily looked down and to her surprise, she saw that her caster board was floating and it was a hoverboard now.
"No way... You turned my caster board into a hoverboard?" She asked him as he nodded.
"I'd figured it could help to move better in difficult terrains. Just be sure that no one sees you using it and be careful with it. The technology in it is very sensitive." Ratchet told her as she nodded.
"I know, I know. I'll be careful. But how will I make people not see this thing flying?" She asked him as Ratchet handed her brooch back since he made some modification with it.
"Simple enough. Your brooch is connected to it. Press the bottom." He instructed her as she did so and her hoverboard shifted back into a regular looking caster board.
"Amazing. I just hope you didn't take out the speed thruster. My bike is in the shop and my new board is my only means of transportation for now since my old one broke a few days ago." She said as Ratchet nodded while putting his tools away.
"Do not worry. I haven't changed anything." Ratchet said as she nodded.
"Good to hear. Well, time for me to go home. See you tomorrow, Ratchet." Emily said as she got on her caster/hoverboard as Ratchet waved his good night without turning around as she left the base.
Meanwhile somewhere on a highway, a red European sports car known as Knock Out was out for a drive when he received a call from Breakdown through the comm-link.
"Knock Out, are you still out there?" He asked since he knew that he went out again without permission.
"You know me, Breakdown. I like to go out on occasions." Knock Out replied.
"You're lucky Megatron is busy somewhere else. We both know what he would do to you if he knew what you were doing." Breakdown reminded him since Breakdown knew that Knock Out would get in trouble.
"I do believe that humans have a saying for this. 'When the Cat's away, the Mice are at play'." Knock Out said as Breakdown was confused about it.
"What does that mean?" He asked in confusion.
"It means that when the Big M is not looking, I can go around wherever I want." Knock Out explained as he could feel Breakdown rolling his optics at him.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever. I don't need to remind you that Starscream knows about your little escapades." Breakdown said as Knock Out knew that he told Airachnid this.
"Oh please. He acts as if he's our leader. Such a fool. He doesn't scare me. I wouldn't worry too much about him. Now if you'll excuse me, I would like to enjoy the scenery of a quiet road. Just be sure to prepare the tools. Some humans just messed with my finish." Knock Out said before he cut his comm-link off before resuming the quiet evening drive before heading back to the Nemesis.
The day after that, Emily and Jack had to go work at K.O driving right after school. After a long day at work their shift was finally over as Emily finished wiping some of the tables clean.
"Another boring day at work." She said as she put the wiping rag away as Jack peeked at her from his spot in the drive-through window.
"You gotta work hard just to get by." He said as he put his hat away as Emily did the same.
"Yeah. And here I thought you would faint when we received an order of 12 number 5." She grinned playfully as they got out of the fast food area as Jack laughed nervously.
"I almost did. But that's the job. Sometimes it's easy and sometimes it's full of surprises." Jack said as he shrugged as she nodded in agreement.
They both heard a car engine coming in. Meaning that a car was entering the restaurant parking lot. When they turned and saw who it was, they didn't like it one bit as it was the bully of the school.
"Speaking of surprises. Look who's here." Emily said as she crossed her arms.
Vince drove in with his car, much to Emily's and Jack's annoyance as he leaned out the open space of the driver seat as he smirked at the two.
"What's up, losers? Still working here in loser land?" He snided as Emily rolled her eyes at him as she got her caster/hoverboard from where Arcee is parked.
"At least we're working. Unlike some people we know." She retorted as Vince just scoffed out a laugh.
"Pfft. I'd rather fail a midterm exam than work in this dump." He said as Emily could feel her anger rising quickly but calmed down as Jack put a hand on her shoulder.
"Don't pay attention to what he says. Let's just go." He said as she nodded as she dropped her caster/hoverboard on the ground.
She waits for Jack to get on Arcee as he puts on his helmet. After putting on his helmet and hopping on Arcee, he turns the engines and joins Emily when suddenly he hears Vince talking to him about his 'motorcycle'.
"Nice bike. Did your mom take out the support wheels?" He mocked as Jack turned to him with mild annoyance.
"This bike has dual carbs and can go from zero to 60 in 3.5 second." Jack told him since he knows mechanics more.
"In other words, it doesn't need supporting wheels, Vinnie." She said as Jack almost laughed at the nickname Emily used.
Both Emily and Jack left the K.O driving parking and drove all the way to the base, leaving Vince with his jaw dropped to the ground.
When they stopped at a red light, Arcee told Jack that when it came to a girl's stats that only concerns a lady not for men to point out.
"Uh, Jack, you should know that when it comes to a lady's own vital stats, that's a girl's own business." Arcee told him through the radio as Emily agreed with her.
"I know, I know. It's just that I don't like it when he insults you, that's all." Jack said as he was only defending her.
"You should listen to what people say. You've got a sweet ride. But you must treat them with kindness and not compare it like a machine with wheels and engines." Emily told him matter-of-fact.
"Exactly." Arcee said as she would have smiled since Emily might not be a full Cybertronian, she was still part of what she was.
The light turns green. Arcee drives slowly so that they won't be too much ahead of Emily who was riding her caster board since her motorcycle was in the auto-repair shop.
"Okay, so what you're saying is that I must compare my bike like an ordinary girl?" Jack asked to be certain.
"Exactly. Girls like to be complimented." Emily said as she nodded.
"Always treat a girl like the best thing in the world. Don't be afraid to be honest with her." Arcee advised him as she remembered Jack talking to a girl when they first met.
"Easier said than done. In a town like this, what kind of girl would want to be with me?" Jack asked her as they stopped at another red light before a voice spoke up.
"Hi." This caused both Emily and Jack to turn to the voice and was surprised to see who it was. It was Sierra with one of her friends.
"It's... Nick, right?" Sierra asked since she can't quite remember Jack's name.
"Oh, well, actually it's Jack Darby." Jack corrected her politely as Emily could see the love struck look in his eyes for Sierra.
"Right, Jack, I'm sorry. My name is Sierra." Sierra introduced herself to him as Jack just smiled softly.
"Yeah, I know who you are. So, what's up?" He asked as he started a conversation.
"Not much." Sierra shrugged as she was liking the conversation between the two.
"Good start." Emily whispered to Jack before Sierra noticed her and was surprised.
"Oh sorry, I didn't see you there. You must be Miko." Sierra said but mistook Emily for the 15 year old.
"Actually my name is Emily Sparks." Emily introduced herself with a smile as Sierra smiled back.
"Oh, right, sorry, again." She smiled sheepishly as Emily just shrugged it off to reassure her.
"No problem, Sierra." She reassured her as she nodded before she turned to Jack.
"Okay, uh, Jack, I don't know if you remember but you once offered to give me a ride on your bike. The time you were talking... with your bike." Sierra said as Jack blushed lightly as Arcee and Emily stifled their laughs at that.
"I never knew that." She whispered to Jack as he laughed sheepishly while giving her a playful glare.
"Yeah, hehe, well, I do remember. I mean, I couldn't forget about it at any time." He said as he was looking forward to giving Sierra a ride just once.
"Hey, kid. If you haven't forgotten, I'm your guardian. Not your wingman. So forget it." Arcee reminded him but it fell in deaf ears.
"How about now?" She asked shyly with a small and light pink blush.
"Uh, well, actually-" He was about to answer but Emily stopped him.
"He can't. We got homework. It's for work." She said as Sierra tilted her head at that.
"Homework for work?" She asked in confusion.
"Yeah, our boss wants us to study a recipe for a new burger." Emily said with a sheepish smile but felt bad quickly when she saw the disappointed look in Sierra's eyes.
"Oh I see..." She said with slight disappointment as Arcee and Emily felt bad.
They heard a car engine coming their way as Emily turned around to see what it was and much to her annoyance it was Vince. Again.
"Oh great, more trouble." She grumbled as he stopped beside Jack.
"Hey, hey, girl. Fancy meeting you here. Tell you what, I might give you a ride if you ask politely." He flirted as Sierra had a look of annoyance at that as Emily had annoyance in her eyes at that as she rolled her eyes.
"Go jump in the canyon, Vince." She sneered at him as she turned her eyes on the road clearly saying that she doesn't want anything to do with him as Vince scoffed.
Vince turns and sees Jack was with her as Arcee was really trying hard not to transform in anger as her protective side surfaced quickly.
"Hey, Darby. What a small world." He said as Jack was mildly annoyed.
"Yeah very. Uh... do you mind? I'm kind of having a conversation." Jack said as he was being as polite as possible so Arcee won't transform.
"So I see. I'm sure that the captain of the cheerleading team here would like to see you going against four wheels of pure American muscle cars." Vince said as Jack quickly caught on what he meant by that as Emily and Arcee looked at each other as Arcee used her side view mirror to look at Emily.
"Whoa, hold up. Are you challenging me to a race?" He asked to make sure he didn't mistake it.
"You catch on quick. So what do you say, Darby?" Vince said as he was waiting for his answer as Emily was giving Jack a warning look.
"Uh?" He said as he didn't know what to say.
"Oh dear." Emily just sighs under her breath.
Jack doesn't know what to do and Sierra is hoping for him to teach Vince a good lesson. But before she could give him an answer, the light turned green and Arcee started accelerating quickly, leaving Emily behind with a bunch of eyes looking at her in bewilderment.
"Ah, hehehe... excuse me for a moment." She said sheepishly as she started to pick up the pace with her caster/hover board to try and catch up with Jack and Arcee.
"Wait for me!" She exclaimed before she turned on the motor mode of her new caster board and caught up with the two quickly.
Wanting to see what Jack's answer will be, Vince decides to go after him. On the way, Jack was holding on real tight to the handles after Arcee passed the light like crazy.
"What's with you, Arcee? You didn't let me answer." He asked her with mild confusion and bewilderment.
"You already know the answer. No." She told him sternly.
"But come on, Arcee, we can smoke him." Jack said as Arcee knew that was true.
"Yep." She replied.
"Are you playing with me?" He asked curiously as he could feel the smile coming from her answer.
"Sort of." She said next.
"You don't understand-" He said but Arcee stopped him before he could continue.
"No, you don't understand, Jack. I'm not the one who makes the rules. Optimus is. And in case you didn't know. Rule number 1, never abuse power for personal gain and that includes horsepower." Arcee told him as he processed what she just said as Emily finally caught up with them.
"What did you do that for? You left me behind." She asked Jack as he turned to her apologetically.
"I didn't do anything. Arcee did. She knows we can beat Vince but the rules state that we shouldn't use horsepower to win a race." Jack said as he was hoping that she would back him up but the look on Emily's face says otherwise.
"Can't say I argue with that." She said as she turned her eyes on the road as Jack looked at her in disbelief.
"What? You're not being serious are you?" He asked her as she glanced at him with a serious and stern look in her eyes.
"Yes I am. Look, I get that you like Sierra and that you wanna make a good impression on her and that Vince deserves to be taught a lesson. But if you ask me, he's not worth the trouble. Besides, street racing is illegal, not to mention dangerous. Haven't you heard the news? Last night, a guy crashed in a street race. What if something bad happens to you? What would we tell your mother? That you raced a guy with a car just to impress a girl?" She told him as she didn't want Jack to get hurt and she could only tell that June would go ballistic if she found out.
"Yeah, maybe, you're right." Jack said as he sighed in defeat.
"I know it's hard but it's the right choice." Arcee felt bad for him but it was the rules and they have to follow it.
They stop at another red light and much to their surprise Vince has caught up with them who wants to see what Jack's answer is.
"Look, Vince, maybe racing isn't such a good id-" Jack started but Vince cut her off arrogantly.
"Haha, I figured. You're always riding this bike as if it is something special. But it's just a chunky-chunky little trike and it's ugly." Vince said and Jack could feel the anger radiating from Arcee at that.
After saying what he said, he turned around and drove back to where Sierra and her friend were. Arcee began to get angry after she got insulted and she wasn't the only one. Emily started getting angry too as she clenched her hands to fist.
"He didn't." She gritted her teeth as Jack gulped as he saw the burning fire in her eyes.
"Yes, I think he did." He said nervously.
"That's it. This clown is going down." Arcee said with a small growl as she ignited her engine and turned around as Emily followed suit.
"What about the first rule?" Jack asked Arcee as he was nervous about breaking the number 1 rule Optimus made.
"It's getting bent. Just this once." Arcee told him as Emily was riding her caster/motor/hoverboard beside Arcee.
"He messed with the wrong people. Nobody insults one of my best friends. Let's show him what we're made of." Emily said with a dangerous glint in her eyes as Arcee roared her engine in agreement.
"With pleasure." She replied.
Vince had found Sierra and her friend as he was about to offer the two a ride.
"Yo, girls. It seems your friend Darby-" He started but was cut off when Jack surprised him with his answer.
"Is ready when you are, Vinnie." Jack said as he stopped beside him with Emily.
"Just tell us where and when." She said with slightly narrowed eyes that could make anyone cry in surprise.
"Dirt road by Truckers Ranch one hour. I'll be waiting. Hop in, girls." Vince said as he narrowed his eyes back at Emily as both Sierra and her friend got in Vince's car as Sierra waved to Jack.
"Bye." She said as Vince turned his engine on and drove all the way to the place where both he, Jack and Emily will race.
"Well, that went great." Jack sighed.
"Oh don't worry. This jerk is gonna pay for what he did." Emily said as she cracked her knuckles as Arcee agreed with her.
"You got that right." She agreed.
"Why do I have a feeling that this is not gonna end well?" He asked nervously as Emily glanced at him as they followed Vince.
"It's not going to end well for him." She said
"He dared to insult me and now." Arcee began.
"He's gonna pay for what he did." Emily continued as her eyes narrowed.
"Because no one messes with us." They both finish as Jack laughs nervously.
"Okay if you say so. We should probably go." Jack told them before they drove off to Truckers Ranch for the race.
An hour later. Emily and Jack had arrived at the place where the race was about to start as Vince looked at them and smirked.
"So you finally came huh? I thought you ran scared." He mocked them as Jack and Emily both gave him a deadpanned look.
"Sorry to disappoint you, Vince." Jack said as Emily was getting ready as she tilted her board a little.
"Figured it was time for someone to teach a lesson." She said as Vince just smirked at her before mocking her.
"Good luck trying to keep up with your fancy toy." He mocked her as she scoffed.
"This fancy toy is pure technological wonder. I should know. I'm the one who made it." She said as Vince rolled his eyes at her. Technology or not, the board is still a board.
"Looks like a fancy toy to me." He scoffed before Jack cleared his throat as this caught both of their attention.
"Are we talking or racing?" He asked as he didn't want to waste anymore time.
"Alright, Darby. Let's see what you and your friend can do." He said as he started his engine.
"What are the rules? Oh, let me guess there are no rules." Emily asked before stating sarcastically as Vince ignored that and started to explain the rules.
"It's quite simple. We start from here to the next mile marker. First one there wins. Ready, set, go." Vince explains before driving ahead of the two and leaving both Jack and Emily behind as Emily coughed from the dust.
"Well, that wasn't fair." Jack coughed slightly as Emily was on her board.
"No way we're losing against that jerk." Emily said as she narrowed her eyes.
Arcee revved her engine and Emily is activating the turbo thruster of her caster/hoverboard as they both drove after Vince. The three of them pass by where Sierra and her friend were watching as both of them were cheering both Emily and Jack.
Vince checked his side view mirror and saw that both Jack and Emily were going slow as he laughed arrogantly. Jack looked at Arcee with confusion.
"Uh, Arcee, at this rate we won't win." Jack said as Arcee just smirked with Emily as he could feel that they were both planning something.
"Winning isn't enough. You want to make him cry." Arcee said as she was preparing to speed things up as Emily glance to the femme who glanced back with her side view mirror.
"You thinking what I'm thinking?" Emily asked as Jack glanced at the two in confusion and nervously.
"Divide and conquer." Arcee said as Emily nodded as she started to speed up.
"I'll try and get his attention." She said as Jack became worried.
"Be careful. If he pushes you off the road, you'll get seriously hurt." He said as she glanced at him and saw concern in his eyes.
She was told by Arcee before that Jack was really worried and scared when she came back with her first wound which was the three deep gash marks on her left leg back at her and Optimus' adventure in the shadow zone. So she just smiled at him reassuringly.
"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." She said as she activated her booster mode and was catching up with Vince.
This caught Vince's attention and was trying to block her path but Emily is able to make a right and left turn so that Jack can pass him as Emily made a hand motion and Jack knew that it was the signal as he held on tight to the handle bars.
"There is our chance. Let's go." Jack said as Arcee quickly accelerated.
Vince was still occupied with Emily but even so he sees that Jack is near him. After that Jack and Arcee pass Vince and they're leaving him behind as Emily smiled at her two friends as she sent Vince a smirk.
"Where's your big ego now, Vinnie?" She mocked as she quickly rode off to catch up with Jack and Arcee.
This made Vince really angry. To make sure that Emily stays far behind, he accelerated and dropped a bunch of nails on the way as Sierra and her friend saw that and was shocked and worried for Emily. Emily accidentally hit one and it made her lose control of her caster/hoverboard. She fell off from her caster board and felt something in her leg was twisted or sprained as she realized that her ankle was sprained as she later on the side of the road as both Sierra and her friend ran up to her aid.
"Ahhh... ahhh..." Emily winced as she gripped her leg in pain.
Meanwhile Jack was close to the finish line as Vince tried to catch up with him but it was too late as both Jack and Arcee had won the race as Jack couldn't help but whoop in victory.
"Whoo-hoo! Outstanding, we did it. Hey, maybe it might be a good time to give Sierra a ride around the block." Jack suggested but he could feel the stern look that Arcee was giving him.
"Don't push your luck, kid." She said as she was still holding in her answer earlier as Jack just sighed.
Jack made a u-turn and turned around to go see Sierra who was with Emily but he quickly noticed that something was wrong since Sierra was helping Emily stand up.
"Oh no." Jack muttered worriedly as Arcee could sense that something happened as they stopped where the three girls were before Jack got off and rushed to Emily's side quickly to see if her injury was severe.
"Emily, you okay? What happened?" Jack went all big brother mode at her as she stood up slowly but didn't put too much weight on her injured ankle.
"I'm okay. I just... lost control and fell and sprained my ankle in the process." Emily said as she hid the pain and angered look in her eyes and face as she stood up a little straighter but winced as her ankle protested at that.
"Whoa, easy. You shouldn't be moving." Jack said as he went to help her but she stopped him as she went to her caster/hoverboard without turning around to face them.
"I'm okay, Jack." She snapped firmly as she was really trying to control her anger.
Emily hopped back on slowly on her board and used her caster board to go to the base as Jack, Arcee, Sierra and Sierra's friend watched her worriedly.
"I'll see you later." She said shortly and rode off down the road to the direction of the base and left the four who watched her worriedly and concerned.
"Good thing, she didn't get hurt badly." Sierra said as she was informed of the accident that made Emily absent at school for a few days and it was about something like a car crash as Jack nodded but couldn't help feeling that Emily was a little angry and in pain at the same time.
"I'm just glad she's okay. I better go check on her. Oh wait, I can't leave you here." Jack said as he turned to Sierra who politely shook her head with a kind smile.
"It's okay, Jack. We'll take a cab." Sierra said as Jack nodded.
"Okay. I'll see you at school." Jack said as he got on Arcee who started driving down the road towards the base.
"How did Emily get hurt?" Jack asked Arcee as he was feeling bad for not seeing something like this happening as Arcee was feeling angry since she had a hunch on how her friend got hurt.
"Dunno. Maybe that jerk cheated somehow." Arcee said as she was feeling angry as this caused Jack to become angry at that.
"That wouldn't surprise me. We'll deal with that later. Right now we must check on Emily. Something tells me she's not okay." Jack said as he knew the tone that Emily used earlier and knew that she was suppressing her anger and pain from showing.
"Hold on tight." Arcee said and quickly accelerated towards the base.
Meanwhile back at the Nemesis, the Decepticons were guarding their Energon reserves. Megatron had left with Dreadwing, Skyquake and Airachnid on a secret mission, leaving Starscream in charge.
Breakdown had to take care of the Energon stocking as Starscream came in to see how things were doing since nothing much has been happening lately.
"Breakdown, how's the Energon stocking?" Starscream asked as Breakdown nodded.
"Pretty well. We've gathered an amazing amount of Energon." He replied since they've gathered a large amount of Energon for the past few days.
"Hopefully it will give us an advantage against the Autobots. Where is Knock Out? I thought he was helping you." Starscream said before looking around to find the red medic.
"I'm right here. I had to take care of a little scratchy situation. Can you believe that a human did this to me?" Knock Out came in after doing who knows what but from the looks of it, he was fixing the scratch of his finish.
"Knock Out, you have been street racing against the humans again haven't you? Please at least tell me this time you didn't take anyone off the road." Starscream stressed as he really didn't want Megatron to find out as Knock Out just smirked.
"You know me, Starscream. You scratch my paint. I scratch yours." Knock Out said his little motto as Starscream growled.
"That's besides the point. You know what I think about your little escapades don't you?" Starscream said as Knock Out shrugged as he grabbed one of the energon cubes while examining it.
"I'm not only an automobile. I'm an automobile enthusiast. Sometimes I need to get out and presume my good looks." He said pridefully as Starscream rolled his optics at him.
"I don't need to remind you that I strive to keep a tight ship, Knock Out. I strongly suggest that you seek my permission the next time you decide to disappear on one of your little escapades." Starscream sneered at him as Knock Out just nodded with his usual smirks.
"As you wish, head commandant." Knock Out said as Starscream growled at him.
"You watch your mouth. I'm running this ship." Starscream said as Knock Out gave him a look.
"Only until Megatron comes back. Word to the wise. Stop thinking you're the leader. We all know how it ended last time you did." Knock Out said since he remembered last time that Starscream got a really bad punishment from Megatron from it.
"I should let you know that I have learned from my mistakes. My place in the Decepticons is to serve Lord Megatron and nothing more. Now clean up the deposit. I don't want anything going wrong that could disturb the return of our master." Starscream said as he left the energon storage as Knock Out and Breakdown just watched him.
"Clean that." Knock Out said as Breakdown snickered.
Starscream starts walking down the ship's corridor when suddenly Soundwave came in from around the corner as Starscream jumped back slightly startled before composing himself.
"Soundwave, any news about our liege or the Autobots?" Starscream asked as Soundwave showed the surveillance and it showed messages from their leader or any Autobot activity.
"It would seem that everything is tranquil for now. Keep on the lock out for any Autobot activity." Starscream ordered but Soundwave used his recording to repeat what Knock Out said earlier.
"Only until Megatron comes back." Soundwave repeated using Knock Out's voice since Soundwave didn't want Starscream to get hurt even more.
"I understand your concerns, Soundwave. But I believe that we must be ready. The Autobots are out there and we can't let our guard down for a moment. Keep me posted." He said as Soundwave nodded as they both went to the control room to get ready just in case.
