Chapter 37: Thank You, Random Stranger!

Maya woke up confused because she remembered falling asleep on top of the covers and now she was under them. Vincent was asleep next to her on his stomach with his arms under the pillow. 

He had probably moved them so she wouldn't be cold after their conversation the night before. He had the most random bouts of being considerate and she wasn't quite sure what to make of them considering how he was the rest of the time. 

She glanced at the clock. 6:27 AM. The alarm was going to go off in approximately three minutes. 

Maya stretched as she let it sink in. She was only one year away from being thirty. If someone had told her where she would be now on her twenty-eighth birthday, she absolutely would not have believed them yet here she was. 

That had been one of her worst birthdays. Scott chose to break up with her without knowing what day it was but he was such a jerk he probably would have done it then even if he did know.
