Chapter 165: Chapter 162
As the Terran soldiers cheered their victory, Onimi who was playing dead amongst the already dead Vong soldiers had masked his presence within the Force so that he won't get detected.
This trick may have worked against the Guardian Knights, but Alexander could sense his presence very clearly. As the Terran soldiers around him celebrated their victory over the Supreme Overlord's forces, he had walked over to where the one he senses was hiding.
While he was hiding, Onimi had sensed a powerful presence getting close to him.
'What's this presence?' Questioned Onimi in his head. 'It feels so powerful, like Yun-Yuuzhan himself had finally returned'
As Alexander approached the fallen Vong bodies, his mind began to focus, and he sensed a presence unlike any he had encountered before. He wondered if it was because this was his first time sensing a force user from outside the Star Wars Galaxy.
As Alexander neared, his senses began to adjust to the subtle disturbances in the force as he scanned the bodies before him. Behind him the Guardian Knights were wondering what it was that he was looking for.
As Luke and Jais approached, they had also felt something within the force and wondered if this was what caught their father's attention. "Father, do you sense this presence as well" Asked Luke.
"Yes," responded Alexander. "Whomever it is, is good at masking their presence, but even so, I can still feel the presence" Alexander explained.
Jais, who also felt the presence, focused his own mind to try and find where it was coming from, but no matter how hard he tried, he could not pinpoint the exact location of where the presence was coming from.
Meanwhile Onimi was using his Genetic link to Shimrra's Citadel to call the massive ship towards his location.
Within orbit, as the battle was going on, Admiral Marcellus had spotted the massive Yuuzhan Vong command ship break away from the battle and start heading towards the planet.
Admiral Marcellus didn't care about the specifics of the Yuuzhan Vong ship's movement; his focus was on maintaining control over the orbital battle. His tactical mind quickly assessed the situation; the enemy's flagship was maneuvering towards the planet, likely to regroup with the Vong army on the surface or escalate the conflict.
He barked orders to his fleet commanders, directing them to intercept the ship before it entered the atmosphere. At once numerous ships focused fire on the Vong command ship to try and prevent it from entering the atmosphere, however they didn't manage to stop it before it entered the atmosphere as other Vong ships moved to block the incoming fire from the Terran Fleet.
Admiral Marcellus didn't waste time and contacted the ground forces informing them of the incoming Vong ship.
"All ground forces, be on the lookout for the Vong command ship which has just entered the atmosphere" warned Admiral Marcellus.
Back on the surface, Alexander who had just received the warning had a strange feeling about what was about to happen as he could sense the Vong command ship heading for his location.
A few minutes later, the ship appeared in the sky on a direct course to crash into the surface.
This was part of Onimi's plan as he would use the Vong command ship to kill all the nearby soldiers including the leader of the Terran Ascendency allowing the Vong to gain a major victory in the war and get rid of the enemies' ruler.
The Terran forces within the surrounding area, began to scatter and run away as the ship got closer to the ground, it's shadow casting darkness over the battlefield.
The cheers of victory had transformed into panicked cries and orders as everyone scrambled to find cover.
Alexander on the other hand took a deep breath as he reached his hand out towards the incoming Vong ship. A few seconds later the Vong ship had begun to slow down before it eventually came to a complete stop.
As he was focused on holding the ship, Onimi who was shocked at the power to be able to stop such a massive ship had snapped back to reality and used this chance while he was distracted.
While everyone attention was focused on the ship, Onimi stood up and charged at Alexander with the intent to kill him. But his presence was no longer concealed through the force which made all the Guardian Knights turn their heads towards him as he attempted to charge Alexander.
3 Guardian Knights jumped in his way blocking his path, seeing this Onimi utilized his body's ability to produce toxins and release a cloud of toxins towards the 3 Guardian Knights which infiltrated their armor and knocked them unconscious almost immediately.
Luke and Jais had already turned towards Onimi and saw what had just transpired with the three Guardian Knights.
"So, you're the presence I sense, huh" said Alexander as he continued to hold the Vong command ship in the sky.
"And you're the reason why the invasion failed, I spent a long-time planning for this only for it to be ruined by you!" Shouted Onimi. His path was blocked by both Jais and Luke and maintained their distance to not get caught in the same attack as the Guardian Knights.
By now all the soldiers in the immediate area were aware of what was going on and had surrounded the area, cutting off his escape.
Onimi had already planned to make this his last stance, but the way it was going would make him die for nothing.
"I was supposed to be the one to bring salvation to my race, instead I'll now be the one responsible for its extinction." Onimi continued.
Jais chimed in tired of hearing the rambling of the enemy "Your mistake was invading another Galaxy in the first place. Maybe against another Galaxy you may have won, but you had the unfortunate luck of ending up here."
Onimi hissed at his words but couldn't do anything as he was surrounded. Alexander on the other hand had started to slowly pull the ship to the surface in a spot where none of his soldiers were present.
Seeing this, Onimi used his genetic link to have the ships weapons fire on the ground forces. But every time he did, the ship didn't respond to him.
He looked at Alexander and saw a smirk on his face, "It's interesting how someone as weak as you could end up planning the invasion of an entire Galaxy, and the fact that you can somewhat use the force. However, you're as weak as the Supreme Overlord, your first mistake was invading the Galaxy." Stated Alexander as the Vong ship had reached the ground allowing him to release control of the ship. Already Terran forces were surrounding the ship preparing to board it and kill all the Vong inside.
Now that the ship was dealt with Alexander focused his attention on Onimi who had charged towards both Jais and Luke in order break through them.
Jais and Luke fought back and began exchanging blows with Onimi who had underestimated the two young Prince's.
Luke used tactics to keep Onimi off balance, while Jais simply attacked him directly. For a short time, he was able to hold of the two Jedi, but as the battle went on, he became overwhelmed and was eventually defeated.
His arms and legs were cut off from his body by Jais rendering him helpless. With Onimi defeated, Alexander had his body dragged off as he was unconscious from the amount of pain that he experienced in the battle which was too much even for the Vong force user to handle.
The final opponent was now defeated, and victory was within reach. All they needed to do was to wipe out the last remaining Vong strongholds within the Galaxy and then they could celebrate their victory.
Alexander already had a plan to swiftly end the conflict by using the Death star on the last few strong holds to quickly end the war. He didn't use it on Stennaros as there was still civilians on the surface of the planet.
