Chapter 2: don't get caught flirting
Li Jun was instantly irritated. This is not what he wants to see when he comes home. Ji Lin and Shin in the middle of the stairs. Their smiles stretches from ear to ear. How can those two make it more obvious.
For fucks sakes, they're flirting again. Li Jun cursed inside his head.
It's Shin's stubbornness that gets him. Li Jun can't remember how many times he had warned the boy to stay away from the girl! And yet, here he is, defying his wishes again.
Li Jun locked gaze with his son and Shin could've shore he heard his father yelling at him. Stay away from the girl! Giving him shills and goosebumps.
"Father, you're home!" Shin greeted awkwardly. He knows he wasn't supposed to get caught and the timing of his old man coming was not on schedule. "What're you doing home so early?"
Li Jun said nothing as his gaze flicked into the basket filled with laundry.
Shin reacted and spat an immediate excuse. "Ji Lin needed help with the basket."
Li Jun only nodded. How can he scold his son for helping a struggling housekeeper? "Fine, but you need to drop off the basket alone. No need for the two of you to go together."
Li Jun's neck tightened feeling the onset of his stress. The man just couldn't get a break. It's been a hard day at work balancing his books and ledgers. Not to mention his throbbing knuckles but he has to come home to more problems.
If only there's a way to relax, he groaned and thought of something.
"Ji Lin," Li Jun called to her. "Tell Ms. Bing to send a masseuse. I need a massage."
"Yes, Mr. Lim." Answered Ji Lin right away, before teetering her way out of his view.
