Chapter 30: chapter 29;About to kiss me?!

I drove to the hospital with a hope that Martha was ok, as I walked to towards the receptionist, I heard someone calling my name and I turned around to see martha with teary eyes.
She ran towards me and I couldn't help but to hug her tight as she cried and I was patted her back as she cried so hard.
"Its ok Martha he will alright don't you worry " I said as she continued crying nonstop.
"They attacked us and he protected me from them as they continued beating him up with bats and ended up losing his consciousness" she said as she let go of me.
We walked towards the waiting room and she put her head on my shoulder as she seemed tired. I didn't dare move for a second as she slept on my lap.
It took hours for the surgery and finally the surgeon came out and I gently woke Martha and she was fast to wake up and walked towards the doctor.
"How is he?" She asked looking at the door.
"He's fine and out of danger but he fell into coma and it might take days for him to wake up so don't worry about it" he said and left while the other doctors took him to the icu.
"He's out of danger so you can finally relax now by any chance have informed his parents?" I asked as no one came to see him.
"Oh!crap I didn't have time to think then so I informed you first I'll go and call them" she said as she walked away but then turned back to me.
"What is it Martha, don't you know his parents contact?" I asked as I didn't know why she didn't leave.
"Yes I don't, I think I should go and ask for his clothes maybe I'll find their number on his phone" she said as she left me at the lobby to go and ask for his phone.
She didn't come back as I thought she would be quick so I walked towards the vending machine to get something to eat. I took out my phone and looked at it when I realized I had an email sent to me.
I opened the page and realized that Sophia sent me the work of the project that we were suppose to present in class and I forgot about it.
I was busy reading the notes that I didn't realise where 8 was going until I hit myself on the head. I looked up and realized it was a guy and not a wall.
I apologised to hima and was about to leave when I recognize him it was Brian. We looked at each other and I turned to him.
"Brian, samra?" We asked at the same time.
"W...what are you doing here?" I asked confused and surprised to see him in the hospital of all places.
"I could ask you the same actually my mom was hospitalized and I was here since last night what about you?" He asked confused.
"I...am here because Martha's boyfriend had an accident luckily he survived and he's in com so am waiting for her to inform his parents about it" I said while pointing the other side.
"That's good news am actually getting my brother something to eat" he said as he walked into the cafeteria that was next to the vending machine.
I was about to leave when I realized that I didn't ask him about his mom so I waited for him to come out and ask him about her.
As I stood there, I got a message from Martha asking me where I was and told her to come at the cafeteria.
"Still here? Are you waiting for someone?" Brian asked as he didn't expect to see me standing there.
"Yes, no ,I mean yeah I was waiting for someone you actually I wanted to ask you about your mom how is she?" I asked as I felt nervous about it.
I barely didn't understand why I was suddenly afraid to ask him right away, I guess am used to not being asked how I am doing myself except from my nanny and butler mr. Anders.
"Am not used to ask people how they are doing so hope you won't take it personally" I said hoping he wouldn't feel like I didn't care about him.
"No worries, I understand you're probably worried about your friend and I get it it's never easy to ask someone how they are doing or feel" he said as he looked down at his bandaged hand.
"Wht happened to your hand is it broken?" I asked him.
"Yeah it is but don't worry its probably not that broken" he said as if he was hiding something from me.
I was about to ask him what happened but Martha came and pulled me once she greeted him.
"Why did you do that I was about to ask him something?" I asked surprised by how she was quick to pull me with all her strength.
"Sorry for interrupting your moment but am kinda in trouble, would you mind coming with me I would like to introduce you to Liam's mom?" She asked as if she was afraid of something.
"Huh!wait why do you want to introduce me to her is something wrong are you afraid of your boyfriend's mom but why?" I asked curiously.
"Ok fine,I just want you to tell her tha you invited us to study group and spend the night at your house that's it" she said as she looked around.
"Martha are you asking me to falsely be a witness for you knowing the fact that you were the one who left without telling me anything do you want to put me in trouble just to save you from the law?" I asked her as I was angry at her.
"Well...yeah I mean I did spend the night it's just a small lie and besides your mom can help too please samra am asking you for a favour don't think about it too much "she whined like a baby.
"I just can't believe that you want to use my mom's position to escape from getting into trouble, didn't you get yourself into this so why not face the consequences of your action?" I asked as anger took over me.
"Chill out samra it's not that easy and besides it's not like I broke the law on purpose who do you think I am a criminal, you know what I'll take the blame and go to jail whatever they decide" she said as she walked away furiously.
I couldn't believe her,she might be my best friend but she can't use my mom for her own benefit and besides she chose to go out with her boyfriend and got into an accident.
Though part of me felt sorry for abandoning her I couldn't let her get away with it. So I let her be because just like I wanted to be alone I let her be.
As i was walking around i spotted someone familiar talking to Brian, i couldn't tell who it was but it was a girl and also a Muslim.
They both walked together and i followed them from behind until they stopped in front of a room,i assumed it was where his mom was admitted.
They talked for a while then i walked towards them and they looked surprised especially Sophia, she seemed like she didn't expect me to be there.
Soon she left and i was once again alone with Brian, his mom was still unconscious and he had a young boy who was sleeping on the couch.
"You wanted to ask me something but your friend interrupted us what was it?" He asked as we both stood near the window.
"Yeah right,it was about your hand and even though curiosity took the best of me somehow I feel like you're hiding something from me what is it?" I asked hoping not to have crossed my line.
"You're right, there's something am not telling you if you don't mind can I tell you another time it's not right time to say it now" he said as he walked to the door.
I didn't want to make it hard for him because he wasn't in his mind for now and I understood that he was still worried.
"It's fine, don't worry to much I hope your mom wakes up soon so that you could focus in school again" I said as I stood near at the door facing him.
"Thanks samra for being here and for your understanding,I also hope to see her awake too" he said as he breathed out like he was holding his breath for awhile.
He then walked towards me as he touched my cheek, I could hear my heart beat skip a bit as he leaned forward and our lips almost touching.
I couldn't believe myself that Brian was about to kiss me, I held my breath and waited to see what happens when I heard someone calling Brian.
It was his brother, he woke up and called for Brian, I looked at him and saw him smiling and I won't lie that he has the most amazing smile especially with his dimples.
He walked towards him and carried him from the couch and I sat down next to them.
"What's your name,?" I asked as he rubbed his eyes and hugged Brian.
"Y..yunus "he said as he hid his head.
He was shy and I couldn't help but to smile.
"I'll have my kiss one of these days" Brian whispered in my ear as he pat yunus back who was still sleepy.
I still can't believe I was about to be kissed by him...
