Samra p.o.v
The next day, I woke up early morning ,it was my first time to wake up without my mom barging into my room and waking me either by taking my blanket or pouring cold on my face which by the way I hate cold water especially when am sleepy.
I wasn't fully awake but I kept trying to toss and turn to go back to sleep surprisingly Mariah my roommate came and pulled my blanket and she told me that it was time to wake up.
"It's morning girl, so get your ass up before you get late"she said as she sits down on my bed.
"Wait mariah five more minutes " I whined trying to pull the blanket back.
"You're mom was right, you're not a morning person" she chuckles.
"Wait, when did you talk to my mom?" I asked as I sat up straight from the bed.
"Like an hour ago,your phone was ringing nonstop so pick it up and it was your mom so I answered it hope you're not gonna be mad are you?" She asked.
"No ofcourse not, I guess she was mad at me despite telling her that I would wake up by myself " I mumbled.
"I don't think so, she said hi and explained to me how you are and that I should always be there to help you and also to wake you up even if I have to pour cold water on you" she said with a smirk.
"Oh no please don't tell me you're going to do that, honestly I hate cold water"
Relax why would I do that and besides I am sure she was joking right ?"
"Umm.... actually no, she wasn't for a fact am a heavy sleeper and one time, my mom came to wake me up for breakfast and I didn't wake up she got worried and she started screaming and yelling loudly and I didn't wake up until..."
"Wait you mean despite her doing all that you didn't wake up ? So when did you get up ?"
"I woke up at midmorning, and the only way she woke me up was when she used a whole bucket of cold water on me"
"Ok well how do you plan on waking up on time now that you are in college?"
"Don't you worry, am sure I will figure it out and besides I have you so am sure there will be no problem "
"Yeah let's hope you won't ever be late for your classes cause you know the consequences of it"
"Yeah I know that, I have to do my best and try to be a morning person"
So I stood up and got myself ready for the school. Thankfully I had Martha with me threw the whole time.
First, I had biology class and I also made a few friends who were helpful to me.
Our teacher mr. William, paired me with a guy whose name was Jeremy and he was good looking, he was tall,muscular blonde hair and blue eyes. He seemed to be a nerdy person but with sexy looks.
After the class, he asked for my number and he happen to invite me to a party which was to be held near a beach. I excepted his invitation and I couldn't help to admire his face.
It was lunch time so I went to the cafeteria where I spotted Martha sitting in a group with her friends I believe. When she saw me she waved at me and I went to her table.
There were three guys and two girls she introduced them to me, the guys names were Jeremy who I had biology class with, jake and Kevin and the girls were Ivanka and Sophia and her Martha.
She asked me to join them so I sat next to Sophia she was a Muslim and wore a black hijab. She was nice and asked me if she wanted me to join her on Friday to go to the mosque.
"Hey, samra right? I was wondering if you would like to come with me to the mosque this Friday "
"Wait what? A mosque why would I do that?"
"Because duh aren't you a Muslim and besides Friday is a blessed day of the week don't you know that?"
"Am sorry Sophia but I can't I.... I have to go somewhere "
"Oh ok I guess we can go next week?" She asked excitedly
"Yeah... I will let you know ok?"
"Sure and don't worry it's just that i was excited to see another Muslim Muslim person here and I don't know, I hope I didn't make you feel uncomfortable "
"No no, you didn't I just never been to mosque lately but like you said maybe next time "
After lunch I left the cafeteria without looking at anyone. I finished the day with a heavy heart and by evening I had no class so I went to my dorm.
I went in and sat on the bed, later I was joined by Martha who looked furious, she slammed the door behind her and looked at me like she would punch me in the guts.
"Care to explain yourself and what just happened back there ?"
"Am so sorry Martha, I never meant to run away like that, it's just that...."
"Just what samra you ran way like a thief who was scared to be caught, heck I wanted to introduce you to Jeremy but you suddenly disappeared."
"Like I said am sorry and for Jeremy I met him earlier he was my lab partner for biology"
"Well well look who's talking so tell me what do you think about him?"
"What can I say, he's good looking and he's really hot"
"Well guess what he invited us to his party and I will not take no for answer "
"Sure I would love to go just so you know he also invited me "
"And you didn't tell me, you're so mean"
"No am not if i was i wouldn't have told you"
"Yeah you right and by the way what did you and Sophia talked about that made you run off like that?"
"The thing is she invited me to go with her to the mosque and I sort of declined her and I don't know I felt bad"
"Well there's something that you don't know about her, the thing is she used to be my roommate and we didn't get along"
"Sophia used to be your roommate what happened?"
"She's a religious type and we used to argue alot so she asked for a change so she left"
"That was unexpected, I didn't know that"
"Well now you know so I guess she think you are too"
I didn't say anything, I didn't how to answer her so I shrugged and went to the bathroom.
I don't know what to call myself and to be honest am far from being a religious or so...
