Instead, he suddenly announced, "I'm going to marry Daphne."

Everyone was taken back by this announcement, including Daphne herself. Zagon Black could not even hide the shock on his face as he looked up, his eyebrows furrowing together.

Before anyone could react, the first person to respond was Daphne, who firmly said, "No!"

Lucifer did not expect such a firm response but he was not much surprised either and he merely shrugged, a hint of disappointment quickly flashing past his face, "I guess not yet. But I just wanted you guys to know and get ready for the announcement of my marriage plans."

Everyone at the dining table looked at each other in disbelief, especially Calindra, whose mouth had fallen open already. However, before his father could resist or anyone could say anything, Lucifer turned around and walked out of the dining room, not leaving room for any discussion. Daphne could not stay here alone either, so she quickly followed him out.
