Chapter 66: Abra's Plan (1)

"What are you looking at?" She finally asked first.

"I shouldn't have let you wear that dress," he said, raising one eyebrow as he took a glass of red wine or blood from the waiter walking by. 

Daphne frowned, looking at him in a way that asked him why.

"It attracts too much attention. Everyone is looking at you, I don't like that." He frowned.

Daphne chuckled softly, eating the rest of the steak in one large bite. Then, she said through a mouthful of food, "But I'm only looking at you."

Lucifer was slightly flustered by her sudden change of behavior and being so direct and straightforward with him and it took a moment before his usual composure returned and he leaned forward closer to her, smiling as he used his thumb to wipe away some remnants that got away from her mouth.
