I got up slowly and cracked my neck before I smiled at Hela and turned to walk back. Hela stared at me for a moment, before she followed me.
"I hope everything is ok now." Mom said with a smile, I nodded and smiled, but Hela's expression remained neutral, she didn't say a word.
May looked at Hela and sighed, her son was right, Hela does deserve a second chance, everything that Hela has done was only seen in one perspective, it only showed her father's reasons for sealing her, and how evil she was.
It takes time to change, you can't change a person in a short moment, who was raised to be a conqueror and a genocidal maniac, just like her father was.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, she decided. She was going to help out Hela as well, and if things go wrong, she knows that her son will step in.
Suddenly a loud roar was heard, Hela quickly got in a stance, her hands opened as if she was trying to reveal her weapons but nothing appeared.
"Kakarot!" she seethed, "I need my powers back this instant, otherwise we are all doomed by this oncoming beast!""
I tried not to feel embarrassed about it so my expression remained neutral, however, you could see a small blush on my cheeks from embarrassment.
May couldn't help but let out a snicker, "The beast is hungry, you better watch out!" May said in a playful tone causing me to roll my eyes.
Hela looked irritated, appalled? "Kakarot, why is your mother making a Mockery of this? by the sound of the Roar, the Beast is mighty! And will doom us all if you do not give me back what's mine, this is no laughing matter!"
I sighed, "Because Hela that is not a beast, that is my stomach." I rubbed my belly, Hela looked at it confused.
"It means he's hungry!" Peter explained to Hela nervously, Hela looked at him, then to my stomach she looked at my embarrassed look, Hela scowled, though you could see a blush of embarrassment emerge on her cheeks.
May couldn't help it, she started to laugh uproariously.
After a few seconds to a minute she managed to calm down, "Well, the beast will be happy to know that I had already prepared a meal fit for just him."
She smirked, "That is if Hela won't mind joining in?"
Hela glared at her, but her stomach also roared, though it wasn't as mighty as mine, it was pretty mighty.
Hela's blush turned darker.
May's smirk grew, "I'll take that as a yes, well come on then, it should be ready right about now..."
I smiled, as I walked towards her, "I'll help set it up."
May's lips shifted into a smile, "Thank you dear."
....
Hela was staring in a mixture of shock at how much was on the table, of course Asgardians are similar fashion, but what she is seeing now pales in comparison; by a large margin.
In fact in this entire table, is big enough for it to be an entire Banquet in Asgard
May smiled, "All that's left is for us to say prayers in thanks."
Hela didn't care about that, it was a mortal thing to pray to higher beings, but what she didn't know was that they didn't just pray to any higher being, they prayed to the one Above all! Who watches them with great interest.
"Grab hands everyone!" May said cheerfully, and we all did what was told, I offered my hand to Hela who stared at it hesistantly for a long moment, before she slowly raised her own and took it.
I closed my eyes.
"One above all, who is in the highest above high, thank you for letting me into this life, thank you for giving me this family, and most importantly thank you, for giving me this world to live on. "
Amen
Amen!
Amen!!
May, I and Peter said at the same time, as we began to dig in.
