"You are correct, Your Eminence. I apologize again for my foolishness." The king raised his head once more while doing his absolute best to steel his mind. He'd been cursing in his heart for the past several weeks. Of all people the Deep could have sent, why did it have to be her? He had heard of her reputation from all the way out here. She was a cruel and mischievous child. They call her Cat because she likes to play with her food before she devours it. 

The king had been dreading this meeting the entire time. He had no idea how or when he would say the wrong thing and have his race and kingdom disappear from the annals of the Water Clan. All of Aquan may be washed with blood at a mere gesture from this deranged woman. He'd heard the stories over the years and felt great fear, but that was nothing compared to what he was facing now.
