Chapter 66: Subjugation

"This civil war has been going on for a few months, don't you think it's time we put an end to this? We're wasting time, resources, and lives. Xasha, what're you trying to accomplish here?" Don Avon's red-tipped hair seemed to have gotten redder in his fury.

"What would you have us do, Don?" Xasha replied casually. He had both his hands under his chin and his elbows resting on the table.

"That's simple. We must be ruthless, slaughter all the rebels, and be done with it."

Almost everyone flinched at Don Avon's words.

"That's not a viable option unless we are planning to launch a massacre on the entire race or sect. We will always be looking over our shoulder, as long as we have their descendants in Estia to deal with. We have been trying to force a surrender to avoid that exact scenario." Fitzroy's calm response brought order back to the meeting.
