Chapter 45: Medical ninjutsu training begins!
We reached the training grounds.
"So what are we training on today?" Kakashi asked.
"Well I have a new jutsu that I need to learn, I would teach you as well but it'll be easier after I master it, I wish there was someone who's mastered lightning release to teach me."
He nodded.
"What about the Hokage?" He asked.
Ryuu smiled.
"You're right, he's mastered all the ninjutsu in Konoha!"
Ryuu teleported to the Hokage's door.
"So many powerful chakras in there, maybe I should come back later, it seems there's an important meeting going on."
Ryuu teleported back to the training ground.
"Ryuu, you're back already?" I nodded.
"Yesh I had to come back because Sarutobi-sensei was having a meeting with all Clan heads in Konoha and the elders, I also felt Jiraiya-sensei, Orochimaru-sama, and fathers chakra present there."
Kakashi was surprised to hear that Sakumo was there too.
"I wonder what they could be talking about."
Meanwhile at the Hokages office…
"Sarutobi-sensei, my spy network has recently discovered that ninja from Kumo has started pushing forward, they've also been reports of more shinobi breaking through our borders, so far we've been able to stop them but we can't defend forever, we have to make our move soon."
Jiraiya said.
"I understand where you're coming from but we barely have enough shinobis at the moment. We cannot afford to make hasty moves, we must think carefully."
The room was silent everyone was thinking of a solution but the outcome was always the same even if they tried avoiding it.
Then Danzo finally spoke.
"We must release some academy students earlier than expected, it is the only way, Konoha will surely lose this war if we don't do anything you know it as well as I do, Hiruzen."
Everyone was thinking about it but they didn't have the heart to say it.
"We can't do that!" He said as he slammed his hand on the table.
"If I may Hokage-sama, I may never agree with Danzo but in this case, he's right, if Konoha isn't able to retaliate then the whole village and everything we've fought so hard to protect will crumble, I know this choice won't be easy but it's the necessary one besides, at this position what else can we do?"
Sakumo stated.
Everyone agreed, hearing this from Danzo, people were hesitating to agree but only the Hokage himself outweighs Sakumo's opinion, Therefore they agreed.
Seeing that, the Hokage had no other choice but to agree.
"My only condition is we only choose those suitable for battle, if we choose at random they will only be there to die."
Everyone nodded.
"Now to the next problem we face, the chunin exams, children from this year group have shown great promise to become powerful, the main one Being Ryuu Uchiha.
According to what Shikaku said he's shown great leadership qualities and greater combat skills, he was able to defeat Fuguki Suikazan who was one of the seven ninja swordsmen of the mist, they're known to be second only to the Mizukage, he also has a fully developed Sharingan, not even the ghost of the Uchiha had in the same age."
Everyone froze, a chill ran through their spine, the name of Madara Uchiha was enough to leave anyone frozen in fear.
"What are you saying, Hokage-sama? You want Ryuu to perform at the Chunin exam?" Sakumo asked.
"He already possess skills beyond even Jonin and his intelligence is also above the level of a jonin as well, the only thing that keeps him from being a chunin or Jonin is his incredible anger, which Uzumaki are known to have, wouldn't it only make sense to promote him to that level?"
The Hokage's question made sense to everyone, but Sakumo was hesitant.
"I'll talk to him about this later, this decision is his to make but I don't think he will be interested in this promotion." They nodded.
"It isn't about what the child wants, it's about what Konoha needs, and now we need soldiers, it would be cowardly for a child to be scared and cowardly when their village needs them, you are being too lenient Hiruzen!" Danzo said.
"Danzo, you disgrace the previous Hokage, they fought to create a world of peace for our kids and you just want to drag them back into it."
Sakumo was furious at Danzo's Ill-mannered suggestion.
"Danzo, Ryuu is still a child, he may be talented and he may be powerful, but He's still a child," Hiruzen said.
Danzo clicked
"You're too soft on the boy Hiruzen."
"You treat everyone as disposable items, you did the same with Kushina, be grateful that Ryuu is still in the village and not a rogue ninja, our village was supposed to protect his family but we ended up failing," Sakumo said.
He smirked and said
"Given what Clan his father was from I wouldn't be surprised to see him going rogue."
"What did you say!?" Fugaku said as he opened his Sharingan and gave Danzo a killing glare.
The entire room was so intense.
"You Uchiha are so easily provoked," Hiashi said.
"Well, at least we don't place seals on our kin all to protect ourselves," Fugaku replied, Hiashi activated his Byakugan.
The whole room was filled with tension and an intimidating aura.
"ENOUGH!" Hiruzen built up his chakra which suppressed theirs.
"While we are over here arguing, other villages are getting closer and closer!"
Everyone calmed down.
"This meeting is over, Danzo if you have a problem with my decision deal with it, as long as you don't interfere with the village."
Everyone got upfront their seat and left.
"Now that we've finished with that, I'm dismissing everyone except Jiraiya, Sakumo, and Orochimaru." Everyone else left.
"What can I do to help, Sarutobi-sensei?" Orochimaru asked.
"Orochimaru, I need you to help me make a plan to strike back without risking many lives." He nodded.
"Jiraiya, your spy network has been helpful and I need it once again, can I count on you?" He nodded.
"Of course, you can!"
"Abd what do you need me to do?" Sakumo asked.
"For now, nothing. But be ready, they're constantly moving forward and In time they'll invade the land of fire, I will need you always ready." He nodded.
They were all dismissed and left the office, Orochimaru stayed behind to plan Konoha's next move.
Back at the training ground…
Ryuu had made some progress in using the Lightning chakra mode, but his coat was still nowhere nearly as powerful as the Raikage, although his speed had increased greatly.
"It seems this lightning chakra mode only greatly affects my speed, for now, Kakashi, try throwing that kunai at me again."
Kakashi threw the kunai at Ryuu's leg, his lightning chakra mode barely withstood the damage done by a kunai.
"Still not good enough."
He activated Phoenix Flame mode and healed all his wounds.
"Kakashi, I have to go, but I'll be back before you know it." He teleported to Tsunade.
She was spooked by Ryuu's sudden appearance.
"Ryuu!?" She said as she dropped her bottle of sake.
"Good to see you again Lady Tsunade."
He said.
"What are you doing all the way here?" She asked.
"Well, you told me to come here whenever I'm not busy right?" He worriedly asked.
"Oh that's right, I was supposed to teach you medical ninjutsu."
She walked over to her bag and picked up 5 enormous books.
"To become a medical ninja you'll need to read these and some books in the library, don't come back until you're through with them."
I nodded.
She dropped one book after another, each of them was gigantic when she dropped them the table grew unstable.
Ryuu sealed them in a scroll to make them easier to carry.
He teleported back to Kakashi in the training grounds.
Ryuu opened his Sharingan and created shadow clones to read those books faster, after nearly 2 hours he was done.
"Man, all these books were crazy, I've never read so many books in my life."
He said as he got up.
"Why were you reading all those books?" Kakashi asked.
"It's for medical ninjutsu, Lady Tsunade said I shouldn't go back if I haven't finished these books, Sigh, she's so bossy, well now I have to go to the library, I need to learn more before I go back to her."
Ryuu said.
"Wait! What about our training?" Kakashi asked.
Ryuu slapped his forehead.
"You're right, I'll send my clones to do that for me."
Ryuu created 10 clones and sent them to the library while he and Kakashi trained.
"We've been focusing a lot on building your chakra and from what I can sense, it's been working."
Kakashi nodded.
"Yeah, I can feel myself getting stronger and thanks to my clone I'm not missing any classes." He said.
After another 4 hours, Ryuu's clones finished clearing out the library.
"Kakashi I have to go back to Lady Tsunade, I might be gone for a while but i'll be back." He nodded.
Ryuu teleported back to Tsunade…
