Chapter 18: The Deal
'After we caught up with Minato and kushina we went back home, dad was coming in a week so we spent 5 days training to get stronger both Kakashi and I started getting better and better, Kakashi's chakra reserves were getting stronger and I was learning more about genjutsu and fire release from uncle, after a few weeks training with him we got pretty close but I wonder how Sakumo-sama is going to feel that I told him about what we talked about. I want him to understand, but even if he takes his anger out on me, it doesn't matter.'
"Hey Ryuu, what are you thinking about?" Huh
"Oh sorry Kakashi, I was just thinking about dad. He's supposed to come back tomorrow, right?"
He nodded.
"Yeah, he's finally coming back. I can't wait for him to see the new jutsu we learned from Fugaku-dono."
'Well, at least Kakashi's excited, right?'
"Yeah, he's coming back, but I wonder if I did the right thing by telling Fugaku-dono what I found out." Sigh "Ryuu Don't worry, I'm sure dad just wants to see you for now."
"Huh?
Is this really the best pep talk you can give?!" Ryuu said as he jumped up, clenching his fist.
He folded his hands and looked away.
'Kakashi should really stop giving pep talks if this is the best he can do.'
"Hahaha, too easy.
I was just trying to cheer you up Ryuu, calm down."
He said, while still laughing.
"Hey Kakashi, that wasn't that funny., do both of you have this sick sort of sense of humor?"
Kakashi just laughed his head off and left.
'I went to my room and opened the book to read more and see if it can give me some techniques I've been honing my skills even more in fuinjutsu. After scrolling for a while, I finally found a jutsu that should be quite useful.'
"Fire style: majestic destroyer flame"
'I have to master fire style before I do this."
Sigh.
"That's going to take longer than I thought. Maybe if I ask uncle he could help me master fire release faster.
For now, I'll just go to sleep.
Father will be back soon."
Soon the morning came, and Ryuu was waking up.
"Maybe I should wake up Kakashi."
Ryuu went to Kakashis' room to wake him up.
"Yo Kakashi, wake up.
Dad is on his way back here, so get up."
Ryuu could hear Kakashi say something, but it wasn't clear enough.
"You're gonna have to speak louder than that, Kakashi, just get up, I'm not interested. I'm going to go make some breakfast."
He left for the kitchen and made some breakfast.
'I made an extra one in case Dad was coming early. After making breakfast, I went for a walk in the village. While I was on my walk, I realized how quiet the village was in the morning. It's actually kind of boring.'
Sigh.
'Then I Had an idea. I'll go look for big bro Minato. He should be training, but I'll go to his house first.'
"Knock knock knock!"
"Is anyone here?"
After a few minutes of silence, Ryuu left. 'Wait, I hear people in the back. I ran to the back but jumped on top of the roof so I won't be spotted.'
"It looks like Big bro Minato and Jiraiya were in a great fight. They look wounded."
"Jiraiya-sensei, you need to stop doing this. Every time you peep, we always get caught."
Ryuu's eyes widened.
"Hey!! we only get caught because of your mistakes. If I had used my special research jutsu, we would never get caught."
Sigh
Minato just left him there.
"So, kid, when are you going to come out from where you're hiding?"
Ryuu's eyes widened, and he started sweating.
'How could I get caught so easily?'
"Come on, kid, I'm one of the legendary sannin and I'm also the best at infiltration. If I couldn't even catch a kid like you, I'd have to be senile."
Ryuu jumped out from the roof and asked, "I heard you were talking about a special research jutsu. What was that about?"
He asked curiously
"Oh, I see you want to learn about my jutsu so that you can do some research too, huh? Well, I have to say you're quite young, but it doesn't matter to me."
"Wait no, no, I'm not that disgusting old man."
He said as he shook his hands.
"Well, the fact that you already know what type of research I'm talking about says otherwise."
Ryuu's head dropped depressingly.
"Oh, don't worry, kid, your secrets are safe with me."
He said with a smirk. Ryuu had a depressed look on his face.
"Anyway, this is the jutsu."
He did some hand signs and said.
"Transparent escape jutsu!"
Ryuu's eyes widened as he witnessed Jiraiya vanish.
"Wait, what? Where did he go?"
Ryuu had a stunned look on his face.
"Jiraiya Please teach me this jutsu!" Hahaha "First you'll have to tell me something." Ryuu nodded.
"Sure, anything you want me to do, I'll do it."
Hahaha, Jiraiya laughed out loud with a sinister look on his face.
"Alright then, for me to teach you this jutsu, I want you to admit that you just want to use this jutsu for your research."
"Huh?!! but it's not true I don't I'm not as messed up as you come on isn't there another way you could teach me?"
Ryuu tried to convince him if there was any other way, but he refused to listen.
"No way Ryuu, admit it or I won't teach you the jutsu, it's as simple as that."
Sigh
'I guess I have no other choice.'
"I Ryuu Uchiha intend to use this jutsu to do research just like Jiraiya of the sannin."
Ryuu depressingly said.
Hahaha!
"Kid, you should be more aware of your surroundings, you know."
"What do you mean, old man? No way!"
Ryuu realized what was going on.
He turned around slowly and saw red hair floating in the air with a red aura.
"What Did I just hear you say, little boy?!" Kushina came in with a fist and she was full of rage and about to hit me.
"W-w-wait, it's jiraiya. He tricked me into saying that I just want to learn the jutsu for research."
He panicked and said it as fast as he could; he had tears in his eyes, but it was too late for that.
Boom!
Her fist sent Ryuu flying back.
"Oh, sorry about that Ryuu, sometimes I just lose my temper you know,"
she said as she scratched the back of her head.
"Hahaha!"
Jiraiya laughed so hard he had tears, and just as he had finished wiping his tears, a fist welcomed him back to his face.
He was sent so far back.
"What's going on here?" Kushina was cold after hearing that voice.
"Minato? you see I lost my temper cause Jiraiya-sama had tricked poor Ryuu into saying foul things and then I hit him and now he's hurt so I hit Jiraiya-sama harder and now he's knocked out."
She blurted as she scratched the back of her head.
Sigh
"I'm already used to this temper of yours." He went to check on his sensei.
Sigh.
"He's knocked out cold." Kushina checked on Ryuu, and it surprised her to see that he was perfectly fine.
Lying on his back, looking at the clouds. "Oh, hi there Big sis, how's it going?"
She was lost.
That's the last thing she expected to hear after hitting him that hard.
"Ryuu, I've just hit you hard.
I should've nearly knocked you out cold by now."
"Oh, that? It did nothing to me. I didn't even feel it."
"That must be because of your Uzumaki heritage. it's kicking in now. You have amazing vitality. Interesting."
she said
"Huh Uzumaki heritage? I thought the only heritage I had was my red hair and chakra."
Hahaha!
"Well Ryuu, if it makes you feel better your red hair is darker than most from Uzushiogakure, anyway let's go back.
I'm sure Jiraiya-sama woke up by now."
'Jiraiya actually got knocked out by her. Wow, I'm glad I have this much vitality.'
"Hey Ryuu, you alright?" Kakashi came out of nowhere and asked.
"I was just looking for you. Then I heard all this commotion in Big bro's house, so I figured it must be you." Kakashi said as he smiled.
"Yeah, I'm alright. It didn't even hurt."
That shocked Kakashi.
"I don't expect less from you, anyway let's go home. Dad is back." he didn't sound as happy as you would think he would.
"He is?" Kakashi nodded.
"Before we go, I have to do something." "Huh?" Kakashi was lost.
Ryuu went to Jiraiya to wake him up.
"Hey old man, wake up. Teach me that jutsu." Jiraiya rubbed his head and stretched as he stood up.
"You aren't going to master this jutsu quickly, it takes a lot of practice to do this, it's a great jutsu made by yours truly Jiraiya one of leg- ",
"C'mon Just do it already."
Ryuu cut him off.
Jiraiya looked depressed and let out a sigh.
"Alright then, get ready to see this amazing jutsu."
Ryuu activated his Sharingan to watch the exact move and copy it. Jiraiya did some hand signs.
"Transparent Jutsu!"
"Alright Kakashi let's go home now, I'm ready."
He nodded, they said their goodbyes to them, and then they took off.
'We reached home and I could barely hold my smile.
I can finally see him, I can finally see dad again.'
"I'm Home!" Ryuu said as he opened the door.
"Huh Fugaku-dono, what are you doing here?"
'It shocked me to see that he was here as well.'
"What, your uncle can't come to visit his nephew?" he said as a slight smile appeared on his face.
"Ryuu, it's been a while since I last saw you."
Ryuu ran to Sakumo and hugged him as soon as he heard his voice.
"You're back." He hugged Ryuu back with a smile.
"Yes, I'm back and I'm sorry about lying to you about something so important."
Ryuu looked up and said.
"That doesn't matter right now.
I'm just glad you're back."
Sakumo smiled.
But his smile didn't last for long and he became serious.
"Listen, we decided at some point it would be best that you go train directly under Fugaku for a year while I train Kakashi in Kenjutsu then you'd come back to live with us but of course, this is only if you want to anyway, think about it for a while, you can tell me later in the night."
He had just made some grand dinner for them.
'We sat and talked for a long time.
About what has happened since Sakumo left for the mission, he was impressed by how both Kakashi and I had progressed in just a couple of weeks.
He was happy that his sons were becoming this powerful. After dinner, Ryuu asked Kakashi to follow him out.'
"Kakashi, I'm guessing you already knew about this deal and about me going to train under Fugaku, right?"
He looked down and sighed,
"I'm not a fan of this idea but I trust dad to make the right decision plus we'll meet in the academy, anyway."
Ryuu nodded.
'He's trying to make me feel better, but I know he's just as sad about it.'
"Geez Kakashi, it's almost like you want me gone.
It's not like you'll get the other room, you know."
Ryuu joked to make the mood brighten up a little. Kakashi's eyes widened.
"No, it's not like that."
"Relax Kakashi, I know, it's ok. We will meet. Again, it's not like we live in different villages. I know we'll both get stronger, so don't get too comfortable with my room, you know."
"You're spending too much time with Bug sis kushina, you know." He said in a sarcastic tone. Hahaha, Ryuu laughed, and he joined in.
After a while, they both went back.
"I've decided to go and train with Fugaku-dono."
"Ryuu, are you sure about this?" Sakumo asked.
Ryuu looked at Kakashi and smiled, then they both nodded at the same time.
"Well, if you're sure about your decision. If that's the case, then we shall take our leave and begin training as soon as possible." Fugaku said as he stood up.
"Alright then, I'll start packing my stuff, Kakashi, come and help me." He nodded.
'Kakashi followed me to my room, even though I knew packing wouldn't take long because of the fuinjutsu I learned from Big sis kushina.'
"So, what are you gonna do about the book? Are you going to learn more or are you just going to waste time looking for powerful jutsu?"
Ryuu finished sealing everything in a scroll except the book.
He picked it up and said,
"I'm going to look more into it. After all, I need it to get stronger than ever before." He shrugged.
"I'm ready,"
Ryuu said as he left his room.
"We're going to miss you here Ryuu," Sakumo Said as he held Kakashi's hand,
"Well, Kakashi, we've said goodbye too many times already, so how about I say see you later,"
Ryuu said as he waved and smiled at him.
"Why do you have to always say the last line, Ryuu? It's so strange."
Ryuu and Fugaku both took off and started walking to the Uchiha. When they reached, he gave Ryuu a room.
"Ryuu, you'll have to stay in that room.
It's a little bigger than the one you had at your old house.
Tomorrow, try to wake up as early as me, and let's get started." Ryuu nodded.
