Very promising new author! I like the world building which is unique, not the regular settings in fantasy romance. With the first chapters relationship between main leads is clear through the narration, dialogs and characters' pov and the novel's title makes me intrigued how it'll change. It's rare to see a fantasy story with detective setting and I love it!💖😍 I am already a fan of crimes and thrillers, so this book is a treat 😘😭 The story pulls you in very smoothly and till now, I found it very captivating and immersive. The scene of the girl's death in the beginning chapters and how Kevin's emotions were described as he witnessed her gruesome death in her memories was really heartbreaking 🥺🥹💔 I love it when an author focuses on emotions and the struggle in depth. It was eerie reading about that monster too and author potrayed the fear and creepiness in those chs really well. Coming to Kevin and Kyra, they are just amazing 🤩 Strong leads with good sense of humour. Loved their little banters and lol the first kiss scene was hilarious 🤣🤣 Writing wise too, the author has a good English grasp though there are minor grammatical mistakes here and there. The plot development and flow is going well and excited to read more mysteries coming my way 🥰 A very good job author! Webnovel needs more novels like yours to give a boost to crime/mystery genres. The author has improved over time! I found the first few chapters confusing and jumbled feeling, mostly due to the way they were written. It was not exactly wrong, but pretty clear that it wasn't by a native English speaker back then. The adjectives used, and order of sentences, were just... odd. Very descriptive, but weird. The latest chapters flow much more easily, despite the characters angst and plotting. I'm not sure it's any less tangled, but it's no longer tangled up in technicalities! You've grown a lot! I hope you'll keep writing.[img=recommend]

Good depiction of not only main leads but also support characters. Fast paced with explanation of the world building where it's needed. Worth the read and following.
