Chapter 63: Dancing

Xander was listening to the businessmen talk as they had surrounded him, bootlicking him, and trying to earn his favor, even though he was bored and uninterested in their conversations, he still kept a business friendly countenance, he replied back from time to time and smiled occasionally.

The rich heiresses who were trying to stand out by wearing an overly expensive dresses and blinding accessories flocked around him, trying to get his attention, but Xander didn't even glance at them no matter how much they tried.

An older man was talking to Xander about his business, when all of a sudden, Xander felt a familiar presence, he turned his eyes toward the entrance of the hall and his eyes caught sight of her.

His brain momentarily stopped functioning when his eyes landed on Katherine, he didn't even blink as his gaze remained locked on her, he forgot to breath, his heartbeat accelerated, his poor heart was threatening to explode at the sight of his wife.
