Chapter 356: Beast man Tournament Pt.V

The second day of the main bracket had arrived.

Once again, I was watching from the emperor’s special booth. I could tell morale wasn’t that high today amongst the people.

Perhaps they were thinking that it was going to be another easy sweep from my group. I was starting to feel bad that I’d inadvertently stolen the spotlight from them, but my nation’s security was all that mattered.

Besides, the one who truly mattered was excited. The emperor was geeking out, wondering on what kind of match he’d get to see today.

“Haha, I’d sent some people to check out your generals to find out more of their abilities, but I never could get it, hahaha!”

He boldly announced.

Eh? Eh? D-Did he just admit to spying on me? Is this a test of some sorts?

He accidentally let it slip out that he’d been trying to spy on me and my generals to figure out more of their abilities, but I didn’t let him know that. Who knows what he’d try to do to silence me after such a fumble.
