"MY FATHER said that His Majesty wishes for our duchy and the empire to be one again," Yvo said while watching the First Prince's reaction. [He's too composed, though.]

Hence, he decided to talk more.

He hated doing that, but he needed to get out more information from the First Prince.

After all, he had a duty to protect the Wolves.

[And Noonim, of course.]

"Of course, my father has no intention to give up our independence," Yvo continued, then he raised his eyebrow at him. "After remembering that, I finally realized what your goal is, Lucius Helion."

"Oh, you know my goal?" the First Prince asked sarcastically. "What is it then?"

"You want to unify the Winterbone Duchy and the empire again," the young master said. "And you're planning to blackmail me regarding the Wolves in order for me to give up the duchy's independence."

The First Prince just smirked, but Yvo knew that he was correct.
