However, the horrific scene that greeted him was one that even the Primal Feline, for all its savagery and bloodthirst, did not expect.
A literal river of BLOOD flowed freely from the badly mangled and mutilated corpses of thousands of dead monkeys spread out all over the place.
Atop each dead monkey were two or three little beasts that looked like giant lizards the size of a little dog. The beasts had six clawed legs and two lizard heads, each with a unicorn-like horn protruding on top. Although still obviously newborns, they already looked deadly.
And at that moment, they were all feeding on the dead monkeys.
"Baby Armored Kaijins!" Elliot's mind shouted in recognition. "I was right. But these babies pose no danger to us. The adult Armored Kaijins, where are they?!"
However, the Primal Feline didn't have the patience to deal with Elliot's questions. He was thoroughly pissed off.
GRAAARRRR!!!
He roared out in anger!
HOW DARE THESE PEASANT BEASTS IGNORE ME! WOLVES! TIGER! ELLIE! REX! BROCK! ATTACK!!
The Primal Feline didn't wait for the others to arrive and quickly charged ahead.
STOMP! CRACKK!!
He stepped heavily on the first baby Armored Kaijin and crushed it to death.
"Ah ok. Killing the baby Kaijins are fine too! This way we'll definitely weaken the Armored Kaijin Tribe! Heck, we might even wipe them out completely! LET'S KILL THEM ALL BEFORE THE ADULTS RETURN!" Elliot shouted from the control center in his mind.
The Primal Feline was happy to oblige.
SLASH!
He cut the other baby Armored Kaijin that was feasting mindlessly on the dead monkey into two.
Finally, after brutally killing two of their siblings, the other baby Armored Kaijins finally realized that Elliot wasn't there to merely say hi.
Scweee!! Scweeeee!! Scweee!!
They began to scream their little screams and scampered towards Elliot aggressively.
STOMP!
SLASH!
SLASH!
STOMP!
SLASH!
One baby Armored Kaijin at a time, the Primal Feline quickly carved a bloody path through the already blood-filled area.
Beside him, the wolves, the tiger, Ellie and Rex were similarly having a wonderful time killing the little baby monsters.
Though they numbered in the thousands, the baby Armored Kaijins were still extremely fragile and weak. A single bite by Elliot's beasts was enough to kill them. It was the perfect spot to grind levels!
And to make things better, they would be saving countless Californian lives for each baby Armored Kaijin they killed there!
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
"Here I come!" A ferocious roar accompanied by loud, earth-shaking footsteps sounded from the forest as Brock charged as fast as he could towards them.
GROARR!!
Brock's gigantic 5-meter frame burst out of the forest and immediately bore down on the massive crowd of baby Armored Kaijins.
If the baby Armored Kaijins were being brutally killed before, they were about to be brutally massacred.
As the seconds ticked into minutes, Elliot began to receive the notifications that he had grown to love and look forward to.
[Rex has gained 1 level for killing a level 1 baby Armored Kaijin.]
[Ellie has gained 1 level for killing a level 1 baby Armored Kaijin.]
[Congratulations, You have levelled up to level 23!]
[Rex has gained 1 level for killing a level 1 baby Armored Kaijin.]
[Ellie has gained 1 level for killing a level 1 baby Armored Kaijin.]
[Rex has gained 1 level for killing a level 1 baby Armored Kaijin.]
[Ellie has gained 1 level for killing a level 1 baby Armored Kaijin.]
From thousands, to hundreds and finally, down to the final baby Armored Kaijin.
STOMP!
The Primal Feline killed it ruthlessly.
AWOOOOO!!!!
ROARRRRRR!!!
GROARRR!!!
GROAARRR!!!
All of them roared out and vented their excitement after a job well done.
The Primal Feline truly enjoyed that short but bloody massacre, Elliot could feel its bloodlust and excitement growing with each kill. However, it was not yet satisfied. What it yearned for was a true battle with a worthy opponent.
The Primal Feline looked ahead at the huge cave entrance at the base of the volcano and quickly made his way there. His instinct and his senses told him that he would find what he sought for within that cave.
"Little Master, these little baby monsters couldn't possibly take down all these monkeys by themselves." Brock said from his side.
"I know." Elliot spoke through the haze of bloodlust in his mind. "Our real foes are in that cave."
Brock nodded in agreement and along with all the other beasts, started to follow Elliot quietly.
When they reached the entrance of the cave, the Primal Feline suddenly stopped. He looked around warily. A growing sense of impending doom had fallen upon him lightly.
There was a new enemy.
It was still a distance away, but it was coming his way. He was sure of it.
His sixth sense tingled and his instincts began to tell him that he would not be able to deal with the new threat. The enemies within the cave would give him a good and vigorous fight. But only certain death awaited him if he chose to fight the new one.
"It must be the Armored Kaijin Matriarch." Elliot thought through the haze of bloodlust and summoned a memory of the time he saw the Matriarch in his previous life. Taller than a two story building, bristling with sharp spikes and blades and claws, it was the epitome of death.
The Primal Feline growled lightly and exploded forth in a burst of speed as he rushed into the cave.
"If there's a strong enemy coming, then I'll just have to kill these ones faster and escape before the strong one arrives!" The Primal Feline's thought was rather simple and direct.
"The adult Armored Kaijins must be in there fighting with the Great Sage." Elliot realised as his sharp hearing picked up faint sounds of battle from deep within the cave. "I need to hurry if I want to save the Great Sage and tame him!"
Deeper and deeper he went into the vast cave system. Along the way, he passed several more dead monkeys. Well, specifically, dead monkey PIECES. None of the dead monkeys were intact. They looked as though they were ripped apart by overwhelming strength.
The Primal Feline grew more excited when he saw the horrible way the monkeys died. The attackers were extremely powerful. And the more powerful they were, the more pleasure he would have killing them!

The sounds of battle grew louder and louder until the Primal Feline burst into a massive cavern deep within the volcano.
Immediately, his eyes focused on the far end of the cavern where the action was taking place.
A large four-meter tall monkey wielding a metal staff stood alone fighting off five similarly sized adult Armored Kaijins.
The Great Mountain Sage Which Rivals The Heavens was making his final stand!
His muscular body was filled with wounds, and blood flowed out freely from a massive gash in his left arm.
The blood loss from that wound alone was enough to doom him. Not immediately, as the monkey was large and had a lot of blood. But very certainly, as that blood would soon run out and leave his body weak and defenseless.
However, that moment had yet to arrive. In the meantime, he still wielded his large metal staff with great power and surprising skill.
SMASH!
The metal staff connected with an Armored Kaijin's head and caused it to burst open in a spray of blood and gore.
It fell down to the ground and joined the growing pile of dead bodies. Monkeys for the most part. But there was also a pile of dead adult Armored Kaijins.
A large pile.
The Great Sage had taken down at least twenty of the adult Armored Kaijins before ending up in that situation.
The four remaining Armored Kaijins weren't in good condition as well. Three of them clearly had only one head still alive. Their other heads were smashed into bloody pulp.
The final Armored Kaijin still had both its heads intact, but suffered from various broken limbs.
Still, each Armored Kaijin had six limbs and two heads to begin with, so a few broken limbs weren't a critical loss.
If nothing happened, The Great Mountain Sage would fall within a minute.
ROAR!!
WHOOSH!
The Great Sage swung its staff in a wide circular arc and forced the remaining Armored Kaijins back. Its eyes opened wide in surprise and excitement when it saw the Primal Feline enter his throne room.
ROARR!! The message behind its roar was clear. Help me!
GRAAAHHH!!
The Primal Feline was not one to dally. He leapt ahead and immediately joined the Great Sage in battling the four Armored Kaijins!
Two of the Armored Kaijins turned to face him.
The Armored Kaijins had six hands and feet. Four of those functioned as legs and gave them an extremely stable platform from which their two hands and two heads could launch vicious and versatile attacks. Their hands had five sharp claws and a long unicorn-horn protruded out of each of their heads. Their mouths were also lined with rows and rows of razor sharp teeth.
They were an absolute terror to fight with, and the Primal Feline was completely and absolutely... ecstatic!
SLASH!!
His first slash attack was so fast that the Armored Kaijin didn't even manage to react before its remaining head was partially slashed and partially ripped out of its neck.
[Congratulations, You have levelled up to level 24!]
The second Armored Kaijin still had both its heads and one of them was already lowered to skewer the Primal Feline as it charged towards him.
However, the Primal Feline was an excellent fighter and quickly dodged the incoming horn attack nimbly.
BITE!
He bit the second Armored Kaijin's lowered head as it passed him by and crushed its neck. The Primal Feline's jaw strength was the top in its class, and he easily flung the Armored Kaijin away with a shake of his head.
Bam! The Armored Kaijin hit the cavern wall and crumpled senseless on the ground.
[Congratulations, You have levelled up to level 25!]
Sensing that his tiger was close by, The Primal Feline ignored the fallen Armored Kaijin and leapt at the other two which were still locked in combat with the Great Sage. They had the Great Sage pinned on the ground in a pool of blood and were about to land the finishing blow.
SLASH!
A sharp claw severed the remaining head of one of the Armored Kaijin and caused the other to be slightly distracted - to fatal consequences.
SMASH!
A timely attack by the Great Sage ended the final Armored Kaijin's life and the battle.
[Congratulations, You have levelled up to level 26!]
"Deactivate Beast Transformation." Elliot instructed the AI.
[Primal Feline Transformation deactivated.]
Very quickly, the powerful physique of the Primal Feline retreated and reverted back to Elliot's human body.
The Great Sage stared at the transformation which occured right before his eyes with a trace of joy in his eyes which was quickly losing its vital lustre.
Elliot nicked his hand and placed it on the Great Sage's many wounds.
A noticeably weak and unstable mind space descended upon them.

"Beast… Master…" The Great Sage's voice sounded incredibly fatigued.
"Great Sage." Elliot said urgently. "I have a potion that can heal you. But you need to be my tamed beast first. Do you accept?"
However, the Great Sage was too far gone. He could not hear a single word Elliot said.
With all of his remaining strength, he reached into the dreadful wound near his stomach area and pulled out his beast core. And then with his dying breath, he whispered two more words.
"My… Son…"
And immediately after that, his eyes turned vacant and his body stilled.
"Damn it!" Elliot cursed. "I was too late!"
He picked up the Great Sage's beast core and deeply lamented his passing.
GRAAAAHHHHH!!!!
A loud roar sounded distantly from the cave's entrance.
The new enemy had finally arrived!
