Max asked, leaning his back confidently on the chair and then he crossed his arms. He was determined to make Athasia his date because he knew what she was thinking already. You could say that they were a perfect partner in crimes in times like this.

The young miss fell silent for a while, thinking what to answer. The guy was right though. Max had a point. If she showed up there as her mother's successor, everyone would be surprised. Seeing the fallen daughter from the Rymerton Family having her own come back, of course they would look pissed.

Just imagining their faces was enough to make Athasia grin inside. Did Max already see this? Did he plan this all for her? How come no matter what angle she looked at, it was always her upper hand.
