Chapter 128: CHALLENGES

The sound of the tapping footsteps along the empty corridor came to a halt as Wu paused to turn around and face Yue. "Have a good night." He held the door open to her room without matching her lingering gaze on him. With her eyes alone, she was pleading him to at least hear her out once, but the man was too stubborn to even give her a chance.

She walked in to her room and heard it close behind her. Yue stood there in the center of the vast room, scoffing as she thought of how ridiculous he was being. She only asked him to consider the surroundings, she didn't mean for him to bring a complete halt to the whole relation they had. Then again, what relation did the two share exactly. She went on to nibble on her bottom lip as she pondered over it.
