Chapter 122: JEALOUS?

"Do I make you nervous?" Yue stiffened behind the books. She couldn't see him, but the movement of his feet were vaguely visible if she tilted her head to either side. With his proceeding steps, she instinctively took a step back. But her balance was thrown off by the burdening books in her hands.

"Woah-" Yue let out a yelp as she stumbled in her steps. She tried to balance the swaying pile in her hands, shifting her feet to the left, then to the right trying to sway along with the oscillating books but her faltering steps did her no good.

The stack of books finally descended from their upright structure to aim for the ground.

With a loud thud all the many books ended up falling to all sides around her. One after the other. She didn't count on her not falling at all, she could easily calculate by her unsteady steps that she was bound to land on the tiles alongside the tumbling books.
