Xiaobai turned his little face away and ignored his mother; he was throwing a little tantrum.

Tang Yuxin touched Xiaobai's little face, thinking how he had grown up, developed his own temperament, and even started having his own thoughts.

She stood up and slowed down the IV drip for the children. It didn't matter if it was slow as long as it didn't make them uncomfortable.

"Mommy..."

Xiaobai suddenly turned his face back and called out to Tang Yuxin.

"Yes?" Tang Yuxin said with a smile, pinching Xiaobai's little cheek, now free of any pox marks.

"Say it now, or you'll miss the chance."

Xiaobai used his other little hand to grab hold of his mommy's sleeve.

"Mommy, can Xiaobai have one more pack of snacks?"

"Sure," Tang Yuxin agreed quickly, "You and Xiaobai can both have double the snacks, and of course, you can watch lots of cartoons."

"Thank you, Mommy."

With his sweet mouth, Xiaobai started shaking his mommy's hand again.
