Nadia Fitzgerald and Amelia Sanchez came down from upstairs and, not surprised to see Eric Brown, sat down with Amelia.

Eric leaned forward, looking at Nadia: "Let's make up."

Nadia looked at Eric: "We can't."

"... Then how can we?"

The two were in a standoff, not quarreling, but unable to reconcile.

By now, Albert Brown was hungry and went to the kitchen: "You guys talk; I'll cook."

"Husband, I'll help you..."

Amelia followed him, leaving Nadia and Eric alone in the living room.
