"Please leave!" Albert Brown darkened his face.
His gorgeous face seemed to be covered in a layer of frost, all the laziness of the past days was gone, and a cold, merciless glint flashed through his eyes.
"I've known Amelia Sanchez for a long time, and I've liked her for a long time, no one knows her better than I do." Albert Brown said word by word, "She is my wife, and no one can say anything bad about her."
"Albert..." Tania Lincoln looked aggrieved.
As she was about to say something, Mother Sanchez grabbed her, "Come back with me!"
"I don't..." Tania Lincoln's eyes pleaded for help from Albert Brown.
Albert Brown's face was icy, and with one finger, he pushed her out the door, slamming it shut heavily.
"Finally, she's gone!" Amelia Sanchez breathed a sigh of relief.
She stood with her hands on her hips, her eyebrows raised, and Albert Brown was just too handsome!
She didn't keep the wrong person!
"Great acting, the added scene just now was good, almost believed it." If Amelia Sanchez hadn't truly forgotten she knew such a person, she would have been touched by Albert Brown's confession just now.
She held Albert Brown's hand," Don't say anything else, I'll give you an extra chicken leg tonight."
Albert Brown couldn't help but smile bitterly.
Sighing, he hugged Amelia Sanchez, his solid jaw gently rubbing against the top of her head, "Well, I'll listen to you."
A gentle, romantic atmosphere slowly spread. On their first day of cohabitation, Amelia Sanchez's extra meal at night was a takeaway meat crab casserole.
She ate with relish, sighing, "If only I could cook."
Unfortunately, her master, the old man, said that she was so talented in various fields that she could succeed in anything, but cooking was something she should never touch in her life.
Because he didn't want his kitchen to explode for the third time!
"I can." Albert Brown hooked the corner of his mouth, his deep eyes lingering on Amelia Sanchez, "I'll feed you well."
Amelia Sanchez, biting a mouthful of crab meat: "..."
Is this a double entendre?!?
She buried her head in her meal, pretending not to hear.
Tomorrow is Monday, and using work as an excuse, Amelia Sanchez manages to escape from underneath someone that night.
Waking up from a good night's sleep, Amelia Sanchez sniffed the fragrance in the air and sat up in bed, yawning.
It was only eight in the morning, and there was no one beside her already.
After washing up, Amelia Sanchez went downstairs to find that Albert Brown had made a delicious plate of Yangchun noodles.
"Eat a little and then go to work." His eyes were tender.
"Okay!"
With each heartfelt bite, Amelia Sanchez realized that Albert Brown's cooking was exceptional.
Sigh. She should have kept him earlier.
Amelia Sanchez put aside her little regret and took a taxi to work.
Bonlee Tower B, 16th Floor, Amelia Sanchez arrived at the office punctually as usual. The round-faced receptionist, who was playing with her phone, looked up with a cheery smile, "Big Brother, you are so early today? I put your breakfast on your desk."
"You don't have to bring me breakfast anymore." Amelia Sanchez said, "I have it at home."
"No way! Is it true that you got married?"
The round-faced young lady's voice alarmed the entire office.
The company was originally a place where Amelia Sanchez and her friends could play together. There were few people, and on the surface, it was a media-related company. In reality, it was merely a base for them to hang out.
"Old Big, seriously? What does your husband look like? Is he handsome or not? Is he a good person? Is he from our industry?"
Everyone crowded around, extremely curious.
"Low-key, low-key." Amelia Sanchez pretended to be serious and waved her hands. "He's just an ordinary person, so all of you should put on your disguise and don't reveal anything. Oh right, my husband said he'd pick me up after work this afternoon."
They were caught off guard by this revelation.
Little Roundface immediately said, "Big Brother! I'll go with you tonight, I want to see what he looks like!"
"Don't call me Big Brother anymore." Amelia Sanchez had the consciousness of an ordinary person, and she casually grabbed someone. She saw it was the dark, thin, and bespectacled Anson.
She nodded satisfied: "Anson, you'll be my Big Brother from now on."
"No! Sister Amelia!" Anson wanted to cry, "I can't bear it...."
"It's for work." Amelia Sanchez said solemnly.

At night, after work, there were more than a dozen people sneaking behind Amelia Sanchez to catch a glimpse of Albert Brown.
She shook her head helplessly as Albert Brown had just sent her a message on WhatsApp saying that he had arrived. Amelia looked around.
Upon seeing this, Paulo Johnson, who had been waiting for a long time, hurried over and stopped her:
"Amelia!"
There was a touch of pity on Paulo Johnson's handsome face, "Although we can't get married anymore, you shouldn't sell yourself short by marrying just anyone."
"Hello, who are you?" Amelia glared with innocent eyes.
"Amelia, don't deceive yourself!" Paulo Johnson looked at her face, feeling a pang in his heart.
He used to really like Amelia.
Amelia was indeed beautiful, her skin was fair and tender, her lips were watery and red, even without makeup, her face could amaze anyone.
But after months of courting, Amelia remained cold and distant, as if marrying him was just a task.
"Amelia, I don't want to see you fall like this." Paulo Johnson was sincere and gentle, "If it's because of what happened between Tania and me, I'm sorry."
"Alright, I forgive you. Can you go now?" Amelia asked sincerely.
"No!" Paulo Johnson excitedly grabbed Amelia's wrist, "I had someone look into that man's background in the IT industry, he doesn't even have a job! He just wants to take your money!"
Amelia laughed at his anger, shrugged off his hand, and coldly smirked, "I'm happy to do so. What does it have to do with you?"
"Don't hold a grudge..." Paulo mistook Amelia's reaction for her still liking him, hesitated for a moment, "What happened between Tania and me was an accident, but I must take responsibility for her. Forget about me and don't hurt yourself!"
Looking at his overconfident ordinary expression, Amelia felt for the first time the meaning of being speechless.
She remained silent for two seconds, which only made Paulo even more convinced that she was doing this out of spite!
"Amelia..."
Palo Johnson tried to pull her wrist again, intending to persuade her gently, only to be punched in the face by Albert Brown.
Amelia was slightly shocked by the sudden turn of events. She looked up and saw Albert Brown's tall and lean figure appearing in front of her. He wore a cold expression, and without a word, took her hand and shielded her behind him.
"Stay away from Amelia!" Albert Brown's face darkened, his black eyes were icy.
"You, who are you?" Paulo Johnson touched his painful face, enraged. "This is between Amelia and me, what do you have to do with it?!"
Amelia affectionately held Albert Brown's hand and stood by his side, "This is my husband, do you have a problem with that?"
Albert Brown's tightly knitted eyebrows loosened up at her side.
"He's the one?" Paulo Johnson's voice raised incredulously.
Comparing men in terms of height, appearance, demeanor, and family background, Paulo Johnson was instantly outmatched with nothing left.
Suddenly, his emotions got extremely complicated.
"Sir, if I see you harassing my wife again, I won't be so gentle next time." Albert Brown stood with one hand in his pocket, his handsome face filled with coldness.
His proud and aloof gaze lingered on Paulo Johnson's face for a moment, "Besides, our Amelia has a discerning taste, and she's not interested in a loser like you."
This hit Paulo's male pride hard.
His stuttering gaze fell on Amelia Sanchez, who was flirtatiously holding Albert Brown's hand, her voice soft and sweet, "Husband, can we go home now?"
"Yes." The coldness on Albert Brown dissipated, and his eyes softened.
The two held hands lovingly, ignoring Paulo Johnson, and left together.
On the way home, Amelia sat in the co-pilot seat, her phone constantly buzzing. She knew without looking that the office people were gossiping about Albert Brown.
Amelia chuckled and checked her phone. The group chat was blowing up with praises for Albert Brown's handsomeness and manliness, and how well he suited their boss, balabala.
After responding to a few messages, Amelia chatted all the way home. When they got out of the car, she noticed Albert Brown's expression wasn't great.
While replying to messages earlier, she had noticed Albert Brown's occasional glances.
But why? What was the problem? Why did his mood suddenly change?
Amelia couldn't figure it out.
The gloomy atmosphere continued until they finished dinner and returned to their room. Amelia brought up the matter in the group chat, looking for answers.
Little Roundface replied quickly: [Boss, aren't you being too straightforward? Your husband is clearly jealous!]
Amelia finally understood.
Touching her phone, she sneakily glanced at Albert Brown, who was sitting on the sofa, using his laptop.
The light from the floor-to-ceiling window was very bright, casting a cool white light on the man's profile. Albert Brown had a perfect half-face, lips pursed, brows slightly furrowed.
"Albert," Amelia called to him.
Albert Brown looked up, "Hmm?"
Amelia put down her phone, moved next to him, and sat down. Albert Brown closed his laptop and looked at her, puzzled.
"Are you angry?" Amelia carefully observed Albert Brown's face, hooking one of his hands, and spoke softly, "The guy at work today is my ex-boyfriend, who I almost got engaged to."
The title sounded a bit strange, and before Amelia could figure it out, she saw Albert Brown's face darken.
She explained, "I don't like him. I was forced into it back then, and there's nothing between us, let alone any feelings."
"Hmm." Albert Brown replied indifferently, but his expression improved a lot.
Amelia, who was watching all this, couldn't help but curl her lips upward.
Her delicate fingers poked Albert Brown's cheek. "So, you really are jealous?"
"No."
Albert Brown lazily caught her hand and leaned close, looking serious, "I was just thinking about something else."
"Tsk, tsk." Amelia whispered, "Your words don't match your feelings."
"Hmm?"
Seeing the dangerous look in Albert Brown's squinting eyes, Amelia was captivated by his beauty. She impulsively wrapped both hands around his neck and leaned over to peck his lips.
The next second, her body was flipped, and Amelia was held upon his lap. Before she could exclaim, her lips were pressed by a soft touch.
Her heart raced as his powerful hand held the back of her head.
Amelia was dazed by the kiss. "Mmm..."
As soon as she spoke, Albert Brown's breathing became heavy, the air turning hot. His lips moved down, kissing along her collarbone, and further below...
Amelia snapped out of it and escaped.
"Albert..." Her sweet voice came out but got stuck there.
Amelia's face turned red.
On Albert Brown's stunning face, his dark eyes were tempting, and their hot bodies touching each other. He was eager for more but controlled himself.
"I..." Amelia couldn't speak.
Instead, Albert Brown gave her a lazy smile, letting go of Amelia, "Sweetie, I'll go shower first and catch up to you."
He turned and went to the bathroom, and Amelia, with those scenes swirling in her mind, hurriedly poured a glass of cold water to drink.
Picking up her phone, trying to divert her attention, Amelia's rational thinking finally returned.
Wait a minute!
Isn't Albert Brown her little pet?
Why should she explain things to him?
Amelia felt deep down that her sugar parent persona was crumbling.
*
Early the next morning, Amelia had already gone to work.
Albert Brown lazily sat on the sofa working on his laptop, and a phone call came in.
"Hello?" he answered directly.
From the other side, his bad friends' loud voices came through, "Young Master Brown, why have you been so busy lately? We haven't seen you hanging out with us!"
Another voice chimed in:
"Hurry up! Elder Thompson has arranged a get-together tonight, and he's invited a bunch of beautiful women. High quality, you'll miss out if you don't come!"
"No." Albert Brown lazily declined.
He leaned against the sofa, his lips barely curved, and languidly said, "Who wants to hang out with you guys without wives? I'm a married man now, no deals."
"Bloody hell! Really?" His good friends were in shock, "You got married? I don't believe it! Not a single rumor beforehand!"
"Besides, there wasn't even a wedding. You're messing with us!"
"It's true." Albert Brown casually grinned, one hand on the table, nonchalantly saying, "I'll invite you guys to dinner next time. Gotta go."
"Hey, hey, hey! Tell us about our sister-in-law!! Hurry up and tell us who subdued our pure and virtuous Al...!"
The phone hung up, and silence returned to his ears.
Albert Brown resumed working.
He was busy until 4 PM, having just asked his secretary to arrange a schedule, when his phone rang relentlessly again.
Seeing the caller ID as "Mother," Albert Brown hesitated for a moment before answering, "Hello, Mom?"
"Where are you?"
Mrs. Brown immediately questioned with repressed anger, "You're all grown up now, getting married without telling your family? If it weren't for your friend mentioning it, and me asking someone to check with the Civil Affairs Bureau, I'd be totally unaware!"
"I told you, my marriage isn't a sacrificial lamb for a matrimonial union." Albert Brown's expression was icy.
His handsome face was covered with a layer of frost.
"Haven't you been living off the family for all these years? What right do you have to argue with me?!" Mrs. Brown's blood pressure surged, "If you were a tenth as capable as your brother, do you think I'd still have to worry about you?!"
Albert Brown's eyes narrowed, his face even colder.
Mrs. Brown, furious and frustrated, issued an ultimatum, "Bring that woman home! I want to see how she dared to bewitch my son."
"And, I've found out where she works. If you don't bring her, I'll make her lose her job!"
