~Mavis POV~
After training the RWBY team we as the members of the chat group decided to take this chance to survey around Remnant actually much to Ruby and the rest of her friends worrying of course within reason.

But currently, we did agree to follow the rules and Ruby even made sure to ask me specifically to not and I repeat this NOT destroy public property. To be fair though I suppose Ruby can't blame me for that one…
I do have a Wizard Guild that follows that trend and it did have to originate from somewhere…

After all, that is Fairy Tail style, it's a tradition within our very bones.
Currently, the members are by themselves at the moment and some are paired with each other since Ruby is now back at class again. Tatsumi and Hinata decided to take this time to use as a date.
Saeko was third-wheeling spying on them for obvious reasons. Kaina followed suit wanting to truly experience the art of stalking and spying with Saeko like a normal teenager again… though she is an adult.
I on the other hand am what the cool kids call chillaxing at the moment. With an array of picnic foods, I bought using my points from the shop. Wasteful I know but hey free food at the ready who can blame me for that.

Now I understand why the MC loves their meat it's really and very highly nutritious!

That is one ominous magic signature coming towards me sigh….

That was when my day was finally ruined as I began to speak trying to keep my good mood up as I spoke out the person coming over, "Sigh… you do I can sense you're magic even if you're merely puppeteering something. You must be the person called Salem yes?"
Turning around a side glance I see a flying Lacrima shape thing that has small, black spherical bodies resembling a smoky crystal ball that is covered with bone-like plates and spikes. They have six long red tentacles they use to interact with their environment or attack. They somewhat resemble jellyfish.
Great now I feel like for some seafood.
Next came a voice as she spoke to me while I casually enjoy my Monday with more food to stuff my face as the voice is feminine, "Oh… I see that you are someone with Magic… more specifically light magic… I can see why the Grimm doesn't approach you Maiden- No. Calling you a Maiden wouldn't be right."
Looks like this Salem isn't a fool but with brains.
She has my attention now as I turned around and speak to this person she connected this jellyfish to speak in her place, "While I don't mind talking to you miss Salem. I would prefer it to be a frontal conversation than a communication. After all, I for one would like to see you in the actual flesh or at the very least an apparition or manifestation?"
Glancing at the weird jellyfish I saw it begin to shake up and recoil its tentacles as it began to fall as made a noticeable crack on the outer surface. But more so I sensed the magic coming no rather leaking out from the thing.
Red and black smoke soon came out from there as it soon became to take an appearance of a young woman with two horns on her head Tatsumi failed to mention this. But it wasn't all she wore a black and red dress as well have black wings of an angel and the other more on the demonic and draconic pairs of wings.
Her eyes were crimson red I glanced at them with my own as the appearance of Salem then began to make her appearance with me as she smiled while talking, "Hmm… Been a while since someone saw me. Never met an actual wizard for over a VERY long time now. So then little fairy how were you this well hidden?"
Little fairy huh?
Nice ring to it but returning to the subject at hand I used my <Illusionary Magic> to spread open my arms as I spoke out long words of her answer, "Oh I don't know but it must be because I use the power of Maaaagggggiiiiiicccccc....!"
While I said that the illusion of the rainbow appeared out of my hands as they are connected to the rainbow illusion with the words clearly bolded as 'I don't know why don't you figure it out smartass'.
I have spent way too much time with the older guildmates with their cursing.
Salem on the other hand didn't even seem genuinely offended at the slightest of my attempt as she finds me amusing, "Hahaha… that is certainly a foul mouth little fairy. Although it's rude to do this with your elders. Still are you happen to be my family line of Arcs perhaps?"
The Arcs?
Nope never heard of them- wait no I do know one. Shaking my head I began to reply to her with a tilted head as I spoke out of curiosity, "An Arc? No, but I did meet one. A Jaune Arc. Knowing you're immortality his more than likely one of your kids. Although knowing your history that didn't end well for you and the father of those kids."
Now she was glaring at me about how I knew that one.
Ha!
I may be a very horrible mother for not knowing my own child but at the very least I never killed one of my own!
Already knowing her history, Salem decided that they were wasting their time in trying to redeem Humanity and spoke of her wishes to replace them with something better, that being their magical line. Ozma, realizing that his wife had gone too far, attempted to escape with their daughters in the night, but was caught by Salem.
A great battle was fought between the two, destroying their home and killing their daughters in the process. Salem murdered Ozma, and thus the millennia-long feud between the two began causing problems in this world for Ruby to handle.
I already know your own past Witch and I have well informed of your abilities. Although Tatsumi told everyone you know magic even he doesn't know the extent of such from her but the glare at me tells a lot about her.
Salem is insidious, patiently moving to undermine and destroy her enemies with cold, deliberate resolve. She is also highly intelligent, with a healthy respect for her enemy, mankind, who she recognizes as possessing both resourcefulness and ingenuity, acknowledging Humanity's capacity to draw strength from hope. She is humble enough to recognize that there are limits to her abilities and that she can only do so much for her subordinates.
She is very confident and self-assured, secure in her knowledge that she can best… that's something I can relate to. But when two people like us meet it's about gauging each other to see the reaction of the other.
Clearly, she didn't so much flinch but only a bit not losing her shock. I don't blame her after her long years of experience and her expression tells me something I for one recognized clearly… something so similar that it slipped my mouth…
"You want to die."
Not realizing it till now I just look at her somewhat surprised with Salem having the same expression as I chuckle darkly about our situation, "Hahaha… this is really fate giving us a REAL sick sense of humor. You want to die being gifted with immortality and with me gifted with one but with death always around me causing harm to others. Man, we are really unlucky bitches that the gods hate us that much to give us curses…"
A flash of surprise turned towards Salem's faces as I think I spilled too much info. Damn it my teenage hormones and uncontrollable emotions as Salem spoke somewhat surprised, "You… have you been cursed too by the Brothers as well… Didn't think there was-"
That was when I interrupted her with my words as I began to get myself together as I spoke to her while shaking my head, "Sigh… trust me sister it wasn't those gods. But I did manage to piss off a God of Death. Talk about dating immortal men truly leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
Surprisingly enough though I didn't expect the woman that is clearly made evil to laugh at my plight as she also has some experience from this, "Oh trust me about that little fairy. Immortal men aren't exactly ideal soul mates. Learned that the hard way stupid bastard reincarnator."
Oh, I get a good feeling right now…
Maybe because were THAT similar we were both cursed with immortal life, bad husbands that are immortal, and lost children… Holy Shit…
I guess we have a lot in common than I thought a smirk escaped my face as I grab another sandwich but did not letting my guard up as I spoke, "Trust me Salem. You don't know the definition of bad men. Zeref wasn't exactly a great guy kind of like you actually."
Salem grew interested in this as we both talked about some magic concepts and love life as well as put in some questionable life choices. Have to admit if she wasn't Ruby's enemy I would probably chill with her and relax talking about our worries.
Then again we both know it's an act but at least we can freely discuss our love life with immortal men. Heh. Tatsumi and the others were right just leave this to the job of a Shonen character to get this job done.
With the power of alcohol, trash talk, magic theories, life choices, woman bonding, and a little bit of friendship. Now we need some bachelor men and would've called it a day.
Otherwise, this has been a rather interesting day.
I think I may have found a drinking buddy.

A/N: Sorry for the wait people but I just realized writing this how similar Salem and Mavis's situations were to each other. Cheater Immortal men, both cursed, and wanting suicide didn't realize they were that common as well as powerful magic users made TOO much sense. Also, voting is going to start soon for what worlds I have in mind.
