Chapter 121: Upset and have to go

Mia drives her car at high speed out of town after taking a lot of money stored on her credit card. She was with her mother who was silent with a blank stare as if feeling guilty.

"Ugh, why hasn't Oskar contacted me yet? I can't change my phone number if I don't know his newest number. Or maybe he's been caught?" Mia monologued to herself, occasionally glancing at her silent mother.

"Mom... Why are you silent? Help me think!"

"I can't think straight anymore. I'm thinking about your dad and Casey," Jane said sadly. "Your dad needs us. He needs us to always be by his side, supporting him... Not even leaving him."

Mia smiled faintly. "If mommy wants that, it doesn't matter..mommy will accompany him to prison, and that will not please him."

"That's not what I mean," said Jane angrily.

"So what?" Mia asked curtly.
