Chapter 13: When Harassment is More Than Caution

(You get one kill!)

The voice was heard on her smartphone, Sylvia's smartphone. The speaker on the smartphone is quite large, so I can hear it even though I'm 5 meters away from her.

"Hahaha..."

Accompanied by her happy laugh, the atmosphere in this room became a little gloomy, even I couldn't concentrate while watching this television screen, to observe Andre's movement which was quite offside.

(The enemy managed to kill you.)

Sylvia died from being too absorbed in fighting. She was targeted by the Assassin because she forgot to pay attention to the mini-map. She was too engrossed and forgot that she had to keep her distance as a Mage Role. It was a fatal mistake for her.

After Sylvia died, I heard the sound of a chair shifting beside me. It was Sylvia who suddenly stood up and walked towards the door with a knife in her hand.

"Via, where do you want to go?" Andre asked.

For a while, she didn't answer. But, when she was holding the doorknob, she turned to me with the knife and a pretty scary face.

"I want to kill that person. That Assassin killed me, so now, I will kill him."

"..."

Knowing she was up to something, I quickly ran and prevented her from getting out of this room.

"Stop it! Do you know where the Assassin's house is?"

"I will look for him wherever he is. Anyway, I have to kill."

"Why did you kill him? Is there any advantage for you if you kill him?"

"For Eboy's sake."

"..."

This woman is crazy. She wanted to kill the Assassin just because the hero she was using died. She's crazy, her brain isn't right. What kind of maid is this? Why did this family have it? And... how many people had she killed just because of this?

"Via," Andre said. "If you kill him, how will Livia feel? Do you want to not be invited to play with her again, huh!?"

No, that's not it. You should have said how that person's family would feel when he died.

"My apologies, Master Andre."

"Yeah, I'll take advantage of you. So let's play together again."

"Thank you, Master Andre."

"..."

Sylvia returned to her gaming chair, sat quietly, and played the game again after the hero was alive. I went back to looking at the television, watching Andre's gameplay.

The match time has shown 8 minutes, which means the match has entered the mid-game.

So far, Andre has only died 2 times, different from the previous one who died 3. He's developed a bit, maybe because the opposing team also doesn't have cooperation. Even so, he is still vulnerable to being targeted by his opponents. Even for the Support Role, she targets and deals damage to the hero that Andre uses, Hanabi.

Andre had already laid traps using his hero's Skill 1. He set the traps to detect his opponents if they were in the bushes, and if his opponents stepped on the traps, they would take less damage; so Andre had to put the traps back in when he was hit by his opponents.

You could say "firework mine".

As Hanabi's level increases, Andre will increase her attack damage. Her attack damage will continue to increase as the level goes up, and he buys items that suit his hero's needs.

Since the opposing team doesn't have a Tank Role, I've told him not to buy items that have Fatal Damage. I told him to focus on buying items that increase Attack Speed. That way, the opposing heroes, who don't have a lot of HP, will be easily killed by Andre's hero.

Unlike Andre's hero who could deal damage using Basic Attacks, Sylvia's hero depended heavily on skills. She had to be adept at using the combos of hero skills she used to inflict damage on her opponents.

The damage the hero deals with is Magic Attack. She needs Magic items, so it will increase her hero's damage power. The hero it uses is dealing damage by Burst and Crowd Control.

She needs skills to launch combos on her hero. She had to use Skill [Swamp Layout} first, then use Skill [Swamp Explosion] to make her opponents hit by Skill [Swamp Vomit] explode. After that, she could use her hero's Ultimate Skill, [Swamp Suction], to sink her opponents to the bottom of the swamp.

That way, the combo she uses will succeed in killing her opponents.

I often use Eboy Hero to play as Hyper Role. Eboy Hero is great for farming and guarding Buff, Turtle, and Lord monster, making it easier for me to level up these heroes quickly. And of course, leveling up fast will help me to get items faster; it's because I have far more gold than both my team and the enemy team. That way, I can kill my opponents and win the match quickly.

Therefore, I fully understand how to use the hero.

"Sylvia, try to-"

"Hahaha... I'll go after you. No matter where you go, I'll still be after you. Hahaha."

Okay, I can't control it. She is obsessed with killing her opponent's Assassin. She even chased the Assassin without seeing the mini-map that she was also being chased by her opponents who were trying to protect the Assassin from her.

And according to my prediction, she will die because of that.

When the hero dies, I hear the words spoken by her.

"Damn it! Fuck! Editor! Dog! You are stupid! Asshole! Motherfucker! You suck!"

And she almost slammed her new smartphone.

"Whoa, almost. Good thing I didn't slam this new smartphone."

"..."

Just like other games in general, the Mobile Heroes game also has toxic players, who often blame others, use harsh, angry, and unclear words. One of those players was Sylvia, a maid who shouldn't be like that.

To be honest, I am very nervous about players like that. They are toxic and make the atmosphere of teamwork decrease. Some of them sometimes blame their members. Some others use inappropriate words in public, and it embarrasses them. Of course, as a former captain and also able to calm my mind, I was never toxic when I played. Therefore, I am worried about overly toxic players.

Losing is natural and winning is also natural, it's because in a match there are two elements. So, why are you blaming other people and using harsh words when your team loses? And, why don't you blame someone else and use some harsh words when your team wins? So, what exactly is it for? Aren't they the same, both in a fair match?

"Geez, why is this team so stupid anyway? Master Andre, this team is stupid, right?"

Sylvia starts blaming her team for her death, and to make matters worse, she engages Andre to blame their team.

However, Andre's response made me happy.

"I don't think so. You're just too advanced. If you don't aim for that Assassin and focus on guarding your Pillars, you will surely die, Via. So far, this team has won KDA and earned more gold than the opposing team. This team is pretty solid, only you are too eager to kill that Assassin."

He is quite mature when it comes to dealing with this matter. He neither blames his team nor speaks harshly when his hero dies. That's something that makes me happy. He gives pleasure in this atmosphere.

"Master Andre… I'm sorry for not taking care of my Pillar that was below that. I am so sorry."

"It doesn't matter. Most importantly now, this match has entered the mid-game, so you have to be careful not to get killed again and make the opposing team have far more gold than our team."

"Okay, I understand. I will focus on not wanting to kill the Assassin too much. I'll take good care of my Pillar so it doesn't break."

"Yes, do it! I will continue to search for gold, to make Hanabi buy the items needed."

I didn't think he could say that. Those words made Sylvia realize that she shouldn't blame her team. She was at fault, not the team. She couldn't blame her team for her mistakes alone. Maybe with Andre's words, she finally realized that it was wrong to blame others for her death and stupid actions.

That's good, I like that. I like Andre's mature attitude, knowing that blaming his team is not good.

(The enemy managed to kill you!)

The hero that Andre used died, died because he was targeted by the Assassin. He was caught off guard, thus creating an opening for his opponent to attack.

"Oh, shit. Via, why did you let that Assassin to my place? Why can't you take care of it? Are you stupid? I'm a Marksman, so I shouldn't die much. If I die a lot, I will have a hard time getting items, to make my heroes become. Why are you so stupid, Via?"

"My apologies, Master Andre."

"..."

I seem to expect too much from him. It turns out that he can be toxic, blaming the maid who shouldn't be blamed. Andre, you ruined my hopes. I thought you were calm and composed, but apparently... you're toxic too.

"Via, you idiot."

"My apologies, Master Andre. But don't worry, I will avenge your death. I will aim for the Assassin again. I will kill him. Take it easy!"

"..."

Geez.
